Ramona Caceres

Old flame gets stiffed - but not way she wanted!
by Brent Kellogg

Even before the man of her dreams flew into New Mexico, holistic medicine woman Ramona Caceres had been preparing for the day it would happen. Like all the women Victor Newman has had his way with Caceres had never forgotten the time she gave herself to him. When word came that Newman was on his way the wheels in Caceres' head began to whirl. He had never once told her what any of his favorite meals were but she was sure she'd be able to whip up something to soothe his taste buds. Though she's a busy woman, Caceres took off from work and got active in the kitchen.

It would have been easier had Newman come to her but when he called from the airport with a summons to meet him on the tarmac she rushed to the jet. On the way out the door she grabbed a suitable negligee and a little Igloo.

Newman had arranged for a limousine to rush Caceres to his side and soon she was breathing his air. Talking of a daze gone by made her thirsty and edgy at the same time. While the hug Newman gave her was nice and being close to him again made her dizzy, he wasn't breathing heavy. Suggesting a glass of wine drew a negative response as well. The man suddenly had a thing about drinking on an empty stomach but Caceres had the answer.

"Do you have a microwave on board?" she cooed before making a move to fetch the Igloo from the waiting limousine. Perhaps a taco would bring back those fond memories. Again, Newman didn't seem interested. He did recall the last night they spent together but was more interested in whether she ever thinks about how simple her life was before she met a great and powerful man.

Caceres quickly figured out that Newman didn't want her. He was simply on a soul searching mission with the girls he's loved before. But she confessed that should the chance to screw Newman again arise she wouldn't pass it up. Many others before her had and to this day regretted it.

When Newman said he hadn't come to get laid Caceres heart skipped a beat. She was so sure. She was so ready. She had thought of everything. Did Newman's rejection have something to do with her face? Was it that he no longer finds her a desirable desert flower?

Newman said no, it wasn't that she's a pig. It's just that he had privately committed himself to someone else. In the past committed had never meant a hill of beans to him but now, in his old age, things were different.

Caceres knew at that moment that the new woman in Newman's life was his former wife, Nikki. She also knew what an old cow the woman is and questioned whether such a despicable person was worthy of a man like Newman. But alas, Caceres wished him well.

Disappointed, Caceres wasn't going to go away without saying she didn't give it the old college try. She slipped away to the plane potty and into a negligee. Surely, seeing a near naked woman would turn the old fart on.

Slinking back before the great man Caceres was ready to give herself to Newman but it wasn't meant to be. Slipping her arms around his neck she felt a cold chill and heard an even colder mumble. "Please don't," Newman instructed pulling her arms away.

Caceres could see the writing on the wall. She was with a man who for once is going to be true to the woman he professes to love and it wasn't her. Bummed big time, Caceres realized the only thing she'd be able to tuck between her legs this day was her tail. She changed her clothes and as a face-saving slap, Newman told her not to feel bad. She may have acted like a cheap whore but she wasn't one - really.

Roadrunner returns
The Genoa City News has learned herbalist Ramona Cacares, AKA Ramona Roadrunner for her ability to walk 50-miles into the desert in high heels where she eventually saved Victor Newman from the evil Chet Delancy, has been spotted making travel arrangements for a trip to Genoa City. Cacares will return to the mini-megalopolis on approximately June 3.

The roadrunner's return is not expected to amount to much other than to be a sounding board for Newman who continues searching for himself.

Cacares left Genoa City in February 2000 when she became disgusted with herself for having lost the ability to read people. Once in love with Newman, Cacares left the city saying she no longer had an interest in Newman because there are too many skeletons in his closet.
