Show #9227 - 09.08.09 - Director: Dean LaMont

The crazies are back! Jack is on the phone with Jeff thinking it odd that Jeff wants to make the money exchange there. Jeff is in the van with Gloria, who gloats that soon she's going to have her revenge against Jack. Plus there is Victor to deal with and both men will pay. They also have a monitor on which to watch Victor's every move.

In the cabin, Colleen listens as Patty explains what's she's doing there and goes to check on poor Kitty. Untying Patty, Colleen looks at her face and begins to get a clue as to who she is.

At the jail with Jana, Kevin hugs Ryder, his new brother in arms. Oh happy day. Kevin says that he and Jan will get Ryder "strong" and then get Michael to be Ryder's lawyer. With Kevin off to call Michael, Ryder whines to Jane about how he was so alone until finding out he has a brother - and a sister-in-law!

Daniel having proposed to Amber, she's sniveling. Now, if only they can find a justice of the peace. A justice of evil, Demon appears.

Jana goes into the jail reception area to greet Michael and Lauren to say she's not so trusting of this guy Ryder. Not to worry, Michael replies, "No one is going to put anything over us." And then Ryder appears with Kevin. The new Baldwin family! Kevin is all giddy. He keeps calling Ryder his brother, and then Michael drops the bomb on him. He ain't taking this case.

Pulling out an envelope, Demon shows it to Daniel and Amber. Amber better be nice or Daniel will be on his way to jail. As for Ryder, he holds the key to putting Daniel away. Ryder wasn't in the alley the night of that murder either which leaves Daniel the only suspect. Now, let's get on with the show!

In the van, Gloria and Jeff are watching Victor on their candid camera. The great man holds a briefcase which he opens now that Jeff can communicate with him. Ordered to put the case in locker #17, Victor does just that and removes the key at Jeff's instruction. Apparently a bus station, Victor is ordered to locker #162 and put the contents of that locker into locker #17 before heading north on route 12 which will take him to Patty's location.

Meantime, Patty is tying Colleen up. YaY! Colleen whines that she's Jack's niece. Doesn't that mean anything? Patty laughs. Colleen is so dumb. She admits to being Patty and how she's known Jack for years. Oh lord, Colleen is scared out of her wits. She begs for a chance to call Jack. No way, Patty never wants to see Jack again. Opening a drawer, Patty finds a gun. Wow - who left that behind? And bullets too! Yanking Colleen up, Patty is about to toss her prey into the getaway car.

Also playing Russian locker roulette, Jack follows Jeff's instructions. Different lockers with different numbers. This time through, Jeff's voice is somewhat scrambled. Not so long as it took Victor, Jeff laughs that Jack doesn't know he's on his way to his own cabin.

Kevin is pissed. "We're family!" So why won't Michael take the case? Lauren questions Kevin as to the whereabouts of his mother. He doesn't know, and then reverts into the past to when Gloria and Tom left him alone in the closet. Lauren points out how odd it is that Kevin never had a hint of a brother. Ryder jumps in to say how lucky he is to have found his brother and Kevin then requests bail for his new bro.

Amber is mushy over Daniel as Demon looks on. She's bawling and on and on before walking away leaving Daniel standing there with a stupid look on his face.

Kevin is still pissed, yelping about his new brother and family and how hurt he is that Michael isn't buying the newfound family member. Michael says he wants to check Ryder out first, but Kevin won't listen and starts to pout.

Daniel is telling Jana all about Amber and Demon and what he thinks he knows. Then he says that he'll find a way to get everyone straightened out.

Jeff and Gloria are celebrating. If only they'd put a camera in the cabin to see Jack's face. Victor is at the cabin and seconds later Jack is there too. They surmised they've both been double-crossed. But who done it? Victor says not to worry; he'll have his Mary Jane soon. Oh no, Jack says there is no MJ. It's Parry Williams. Whoever, Victor says he'll find her and when he does there will be hell to pay.

Colleen, Patty and Kitty are in a car. Colleen continues her whimper as Patty rambles on about how life, and Jack, have treated her so badly. Colleen tries to kiss Patty's ass, but her hands are tied, literally.

Jack and Victor are trying to figure out how they were had. Jack puts the entire blame on Victor's head. Victor will, according to Jack, destroy his own world, a remark Victor snorts at because guess what - his world is indestructible.

A phone in her hand somehow, Colleen attempts a call to J.T. Patty sees, rips the phone away and pulls the gun as Colleen screams.

Demon has Amber at the AC. He has freed her from all the wedding obligations. All she has to do is show up - tomorrow - for the wedding.

Along comes Daniel at the JJ to tell Jana she is to call 911 to report a robbery. On the patio, Lauren and Michael argue about taking Ryder's case, but he will look into Ryder's background. Back at the jail, Kevin tells Ryder not to worry because he'll find him another lawyer. If only Kevin had money for that. Ryder blurts out there may be a way; the painting. Maybe they could sell it. Maybe Kevin could produce the key to Tom's safety deposit box in Detroit. And he does! Gosh, could the painting be in the box? That's the big question.

Victor is on the phone with his banker before getting into it again with Jack. Who's the dummy? Jeff and Gloria? Was the money Monopoly? Jeff and Gloria are about to find out. Peering at their treasure, orgasmic in fact, as God is Gloria's witness (she said that) their jubilation is short-lived as the money was booby trapped and they literally have ink on the faces.

Colleen can't shut the hell up. She begs; she pleads; Kitty meows as Patty hauls Colleen out of the car.

Amber and Demon are at the AC talking about their wedding and how it'll keep Daniel out of jail. As Demon walks away, Ambers orders a stiff drink. In comes Katherine to ask what the hell Amber was thinking.

At the JJ, Daniel is being arrested.

At the jail Kevin and Ryder are discussing the key. Kevin's on his way to find it. Before leaving Ryder tells him he's a nice guy and happy to have him for a brother. A strange jail, Ryder is allowed to use the phone and calls Demon to say he doesn't like using his "brother" like this. Demon wonders what his "mother" would say.

Pretending to be drunk, Daniel is hauled into the jail and right past Ryder.

At the cabin, Victor is on the phone before grunting to Jack that he's going to find who done this to them. Jack swears again he won't stop until he gets to the bottom of all this. The topic moves to Ashley who Victor thinks is still at the Ponderosa. If only he knew that Billy has her at the trailer. Traci is also there and there's talk of having a doctor come to check her out.

Kevin explains to Jana there may be a valuable painting in the safety deposit box and if only he had the key. Michael pops up with a report on Ryder. Seems Ryder isn't who he thinks he is.

Katherine demands to know what Amber is doing. Why is she marrying Demon when the better man in Daniel. Old man Murphy hacks up a hairball insinuating that Amber better listen to Katherine.

Back home, Adam reports that Ashley has been taken away by Billy. Now Victor is pissed.

Traci and Billy do their best to convince Ashley that's she in a better place. Dr. Sims appears!

J.T. an Victoria are yapping about where the missing Nikki could be. Not to worry, J.T. says he'll track her down. But first his phone rings. Victoria thinks the call is about Nikki. Wrong. It's Colleen, but he lets the call go to VM. Now Victoria is pissed that J.T. is more concerned with Colleen than finding Nikki and storms off straight past Paul.

Jack is at the AC asking a waitress if she's seen anyone looking like Ashley. No, no. Katherine comes over to demand what's going on as Jack gets a call from Traci telling him where she is. At the same time, Adam is on the phone trying to reach Dr. Taylor. Ding-dong. Someone at the door. It's Adam's lawyer with his release! A cop will remove the bracelet and Adam is free to go where he wishes. Adam is ecstatic.

Ashley gives the doctor her short story. Generally, she and her baby are fine. The doctor notes that her stress levels have been high. What about nightmares? Fantasy's? Ashley balks. Why he is asking those type of questions? What kind of doctor is he? Okay, that's it; no more questions. Traci pleads with her to no avail.

Jana and Michael and Kevin go over why Ryder couldn't possibly be Kevin's brother. Kevin needs to be hit over the head and still he wouldn't accept the truth. He snaps at Michael "you just can't stop being a lawyer". Yeah, Kevin likes that when he needs free legal help, but he ain't giving up on his bro.

At the jail, Daniel accosts Ryder. Gosh, where are the needles in the eyeballs when you need them? Scared, Ryder spills the beans. Finally the guards come in and haul Daniel off.

Murphy the marriage counselor wants to give Amber a lecture on life. Marriage is a big step, blah, blah. If Amber is in trouble, he and Katherine will help her. Upstairs, Katherine introduces herself to Demon. Demon knows Katherine from her "I'm Going To Live Until I Die" book. He swears to love Amber, but Katherine knows better and calls him a "slime" before ordering him to call off the wedding. Amber appears and is told by Katherine she doesn't have to go through with the wedding. But since she is, Katherine tells her to always remember that she and Murphy will always be her friends - and Katherine will be watching Demon.

Amber got a call. She tells Demon she's got something personal to take care of. He gets a call too and so off they go their separate ways.

Elsewhere, Adam is warning Dr. Taylor that his medical career will be over if they can't find Ashley. Jack with Ashley now, Ashley rips into him and especially Traci who Ashley screams betrayed her. Then she goes into full bawling meltdown as Victor walks in. Jack swears that Ashley is with her "family", but Victor blows him off. Then Jack rips Billy; what was he thinking? Thanks to Billy they may have lost their sister for ever.

Victoria informs Katherine that J.T. is out looking for Nikki. Katherine blabs about the wedding which takes Victoria by surprise.

J.T. whines to Paul about how it seems his marriage is in free fall. He feels like Victoria is holding something back. Paul knows what J.T. means. It's like there was a part of Nikki he couldn't reach. Nikki didn't feel safe enough with him and now, come to think of it, Paul doesn't know where Paul is. A call. J.T. takes it and can hear Colleen pleading with Patty.

Adam is packed and ready to leave when Victor and Ashley return. They are impressed that Adam is free, but don't want him going back to Kansas. Ashley says Adam is like family now - she needs him - so please stay. Victor wants him to stay too - and stay he will.

Kevin went to the jail. Ryder has some 'splaining to do. He splains and easily convinces Kevin that they are brothers and so Kevin is off again to get the key. Meantime Daniel is learning that his bail has been posted. Amber is there telling him to move on with his life without her.

At the AC bar, Demon is on the phone. It's Victoria sitting down next to him. She heard he's getting married. Yes, he is. So what about their affair? Can it go on? Nope, Victoria says it was just one of those things that can't happen again.

Paul hangs up his phone so that J.T. can play the call from Colleen. Yikes! What will the boys do? Fire up the bat mobile, Robin!

Billy, Traci and Jack argue about what they'll do next to save Ashley. How about Colleen? Well, yeah, but she's up at the Abbott cabin. Jack eyes are bugged out.

Near the cabin, Colleen is pleading with Patty as she's being tied to a tree. Patty keeps saying, "I'm going to watch you sleep."

Reality bites as the sound of a phone ringing wakes Amber from her blissful dream of sleeping in Daniel’s arms.  It’s Demon with the truth.  Today’s the day she will become Mrs. Deacon Sharpe and she better hold up her end of the deal.

Chloe arrives at Ambers suite to find her half awake. She asks her why she is marrying this guy just as Jana arrives to give her something old… a photo of Daniel and Amber.  She suggests Amber borrow her car keys and get out of GC.

Demon's visit with Ryder in the slammer is a contrast in opposites, a bright orange jumpsuit and a black wedding tux.  Ryder informs Demon about Daniel’s attempt to come after him and says Daniel may pose a real threat to their plan.

At the jitter joint, Kevin is on the phone making plans for his visit to Detroit.  Daniel lets Kevin in on what he learned about Ryder and Demon’s conspiracy to get the painting and suggests he forget his brother and concentrate instead on getting Amber out of the sham of a marriage she is going into with Demon.

Sharon is reassuring her unborn child she may actually get her act together by the time she arrives.  She claims that being in the looney bin has made her much calmer.

Victoria and Nick are meeting at the JJ and are discussing business.  Nick then asks if JT has learned anything about their mom’s whereabouts.  Nick thinks Nikki is going to be fine while Vikki can’t understand why she hasn’t contacted anyone.

Jack arrives with Paul and JT at the empty cabin.  They try and re-enact the kidnapping. Jack pulls open a small drawer to discover that his dad’s gun is missing.

A disheveled Patty is trying to wake Colleen who is still tied to the tree.  No it wasn’t all just a bad dream.  With Kitty Kitty in tow, they continue their journey but not before Colleen can leave behind a clue.

Murphy and Katherine arrive for the pending nuptials.  She can’t believe the ghastly and tacky decorating at the AC.  Chance arrives and informs them about Chloe’s role in the wedding party.  They can’t quite figure out why this wedding is even taking place and hope Chloe can knock some sense into Amber.

Kay runs into Victoria and asks about Nikki.  Still no word?  Fine then. Kay is going to seek assistance in locating Nikki from Chance.

Kevin thinks Amber can fend for herself.  He defends his brother to the end as Daniel tries to get Kevin to see Ryder for the con he is.

Demon isn’t moved by Ryder’s concerns.  Ryder just has to stick to the plan they have rehearsed.

Chloe finds Amber’s desire to marry the man she loathes to save the man she loves to be very romantic… Princess Bride-ish even.  Both she and Jana try to change Amber’s mind; however, she is determined to ruin her life.

Nick pays Sharon a surprise visit.  She wants to hear about Phyl’s reaction to the news and learns he didn't tell her.

At the cabin, Paul and Jack argue over Mary Jane/Patty and what she is capable of.

Colleen continues to leave clues along the trail.

Chloe calls Demon a good looking dirt bag as he enters the AC.  Murphy calls him trouble.  Justice Franklin arrives to perform the ceremony.  The groom goes to check on his bride’s location as the remaining guests all pray Amber will see the light. No, instead she makes a grand entrance in her black wedding dress.  Hard to tell but it looks like Demon is amused.

Daniel and Kevin continue to argue.  Kevin wants to defend his brother. Daniel accuses him of abandoning Amber unlike Amber who was there for him when he needed her.  Talk about the pot calling the kettle black. The insults escalate to the point of shoving and beyond.

Vikki is intrigued to learn from Chloe that Demon may be blackmailing Amber to get her to marry him.  Chloe questions Chance about Amber’s options for filing charges.

Chance approaches Demon and his fiancée and skirts around the issue of whether or not Amber really wants to go through with the wedding.  Then he cuts to the chase and asks her point blank if she wants to call the whole thing off. She insists she doesn’t as the Judge moves in to get the show on the road.

Jana tries to break up the fight between Kevin and Daniel.  Daniel finally leaves and Jana takes her own shot at her husband.  She asks him what is the matter with him.

Nick is explaining to Sharon the reasons why he didn’t reveal the paternity to her.  Sharon agrees it would have been cruel.  Sharon is shocked when Nick admits that Phyllis knows he always wanted to be the father to Sharon’s baby.  They agree it is best to wait and give the news to her later.  She asks if he has told anyone else.  He says no and she suggests they keep it a secret between the two of them.

Back at the Abbott mansion, Paul learns from Jack that Traci is at Brad’s waiting for Colleen and she is unaware that Patty and MJ are one and the same.  She also doesn’t know yet that Colleen and Patty are together.  Paul reveals that his mother is also unaware of what is going on.  Jack gets a call from Colleen’s phone-from Patty.  He tries to get her to reveal where she is.  She becomes furious after he asks her about Colleen.  She drops the phone and stomps on it.

Sharon is struggling with the pain that they have caused other people.  Maybe their getting back together wasn’t the right thing to do.  She just wants to focus on taking care of their baby.  Nick doesn’t agree. He wants his baby to know that he is her father.  It can’t be helped that people will be hurt by this.  Even though it won’t be easy, he will tell his wife and they will find a way to include this baby in their lives.

Jana is fuming and isn’t making things easy for her hubby.  Kevin insists Amber can take care of herself.  Jana tries to get him to see how divisive Ryder has been.  No matter, he is going to Detroit to locate that painting.  That is, once he finds the safety deposit box key that has all of a sudden gone missing.

The wedding proceeds as planned.  If eyes could talk there’d be a mini protest going on in the room. 

JT goes to the computer as his key resource in his search for Colleen and Patty.  By process of elimination they chance on a dairy farm in the area of the cabin.  JT is left to send for recruits while Jack and Paul head out.

Patty has clued in to the fact that Colleen tried to inform Jack that she was located near a camp the family went to as kids.  She points the gun and takes aim at Colleen.

Nick assures Sharon she doesn’t have to handle things on her own.  He adores this daughter and wants to be here for her every step of the way.

Ryder is full of self loathing as he realizes what an idiot he has been.  The guard comes and announces that he has a visitor.  Seems "mommy dearest" has learned of his predicament.

Demon says his “I do” and Ambrosia is next.  Just as she is about to spit it out she hears Daniel telling her not to do it.  He tells everyone that the wedding is called off.  He has his own proposal for Demon, something more appealing to him than Amber.  Kevin and Jana have followed Daniel in and learn the fate of the missing key at the same time as everyone else.  Demon now has a choice to make: Amber or the key!
