A new morning,
Cane gets into Chloe's out-of-gas car and slams the door waking her
up. He says he walked six miles to get gas, waited for the gas station
to open, and walked back so now they can leave. As he talks though,
Chloe spaces out, focusing on his bicep, his teeth and lips.
With David at the AC, Nikki is trying to convince him that they can
work together when Brad comes over to talk about business; that Jill
wants Lily as Jabot's exclusive model and that they would have known
had Jill been able to reach them.
Suffering from morning sickness, Sabrina is telling Victor that the
Professor is coming by the ranch to conduct another interview. She
hopes he won't mind because she knows how Victor likes his privacy.
Victor doesn't mind so long as the Professor doesn't bring along any
photographers.
Amber and the Professor are waking up at the magazine. They're hung
over and beer bottles are strew about. When Amber starts freaking,
when she says she loves Daniel, the Professor assures her they didn't
do anything wrong. Pulling her dress on, Amber is decent just in the
nick of time as Nick comes in carrying a box. Phyllis comes in moments
later and they both wonder why Amber and the Professor are there so
early. Saying he needed his notes, the Professor leaves and Amber
opens the box from Daniel containing - what Daniel wrote on a note -
he found at a flea market in London. It's something Amber says she'll
be able to use to design something. As Nick wanders away, Phyllis
tells Amber that she caught them in act. Amber denies it, adding that
whatever Phyllis thinks she saw it's none of her business.
Back in town, Chloe and Cane go separately to the coffee shop where
it's agreed that while he wants her to stay away from him, they must
work together.
More with Nikki, David and Brad with Brad hinting that he knows
something is going on with David and Nikki, but not letting them know
that he knows.
With Victor at the ranch, Adam says he tried to apologize last night
but got treated like a twelve-year-old and lectured to. Victor reminds
him again that Heather tried to pin a murder on him. She turned the
town upside down to further her career, and by going after Adam is
trying it again. Adam makes a promise; he won't bring Heather to the
ranch again. For good measure, Victor told Adam again not to say he
wasn't warned.
Finding Sabrina at the pool, the Professor says the guard at the gate
told him where she'd be. Sabrina is impressed that RSM would be doing
a piece on modern art.
Cane goes on to tell Chloe that he spoke with Lily in Los Angeles.
Lily assured him she wants to stay in school and do local modeling in
GC on a part-time basis. Nikki is there too and wonders if Lily will
listen to Cane since he's heading up this very big promotion. Cane
said that Lily listens to him.
Overhearing someone calling for Jack, and Amber saying Jack isn't
available, Nick takes the call from someone he calls "Phillip".
Assuming the information Phillip has is gossip, Nick says he's not
interested. Then, when Jack arrives, they get into what Jack knew
about Phillip and when he knew it. Jack denies everything. He says all
he wants to do is prevent RSM from going belly up. But still, Jack
thinks maybe they should checkout what Phillip has on Sabrina. Nick
says no, and then asks again; does Jack know this Phillip guy? Jack
says he doesn't.
With Heather, Adam tells how he tried to apologize to Victor and that
it didn't go well. Heather's worried now that she might be coming
between father and son. She adds that she hates to lose, and not proud
of what she did by going after Victor when the evidence wasn't there
to support it. Whatever, Adam said he won't let Victor dictate his
personal life.
With Nikki gone, Brad is telling David he'll have papers delivered to
his suite later when David says he's not at the suite anymore because
he and Nikki have separated.
Arriving at the ranch, Victoria didn't need to be told where to find
Victor. She tells him of meeting with Sabrina which Victor thinks is
wonderful. By the way, he saw David the other night checking out of
the AC. What does Victoria know about that? She won't say even when
Victor says he doesn't trust David, but does ask why would Victor
care? He cares because Nikki is family. Nobody messes with Victor
Newman's family. Finally, Victoria blurts out that Nikki and David are
having problems, but that's all she'll say.
Amber is on the phone with Daniel! After a brief chat, Amber tells
Phyllis that she asked Daniel about that photo and he said it was just
some skanky, sleazy girls and one just happened to get in his face.
Bottom line: Amber knows that Phyllis wanted to break them up. And she
failed. "Watch how you talk to me," Phyllis seethed, reminding Amber
that she's the boss and saw her with the Professor. Wouldn't want
Daniel to find out - would she?
After telling Heather that she's being too hard on herself, Adam sees
Skye walk in and so does Heather who observes the kiss.
Thanking Sabrina for the interview, the Professor leaves as Victoria
comes out by the pool. She and Sabrina talk briefly about the "gala"
before Victoria wants to know what she told the Professor. Well, she
told him everything he needs to know. The ex-boyfriend was simply
someone who helped arrange her first art show. So, Sabrina didn't tell
the Professor that she had an affair? No, the Professor doesn't need
to know. Nor does he need to know that Sabrina's reputation was
trashed.
When the Professor returned to the magazine, Nick said he wants to see
the article as soon as he's done with it. Asked what his opinion of
Sabrina is, the Professor said she knows her art. Coming in too, an
ignored by Amber, Chloe snaps, "You on break, or strike?" Cane is with
Chloe and they go into a meeting with Jack and Nick which develops
into another argument between the two partners.
With Adam, Skye explains that she just came from a poker game in
Chicago and took a shortcut through Genoa City. Skye says she'll spend
her day going to the gym, the lake, and have sex with Adam later in
his "room".
Victor's at the AC now asking David what's going on with Nikki? David
wants to know what business it is of his. Damnit! Nikki is the mother
of his children and Victor warns that from now on he'll be keeping an
eye on David.
At the same time, Brad has seen Skye and they talk about a poker game
with David at which Brad says they're going to take David for every
cent he's got.
From the ranch, Victoria went to the coffee shop where she asked Nikki
if David has threatened her. Nikki says no. David is still working at
Jabot. His work is excellent; he's a good man. Victoria says she knows
about David's past; the dead wives. Oh, that. Nikki doesn't believe
that David is a killer. She can't talk more about because she'll cry,
but she does say again that David is a good man who would never hurt
her. Victoria pleads. She loves Nikki. She wants to help.
Confronting Adam, Heather wants to know who that woman is. He assures
her that Skye is just an old friend and anything they had together is
over.
Meeting with the Professor again, Amber tells of Daniel having called,
that he still likes her, blah, blah. The Professor promised Amber that
Daniel will never hear from him about what happened at the magazine.
Nick, Jack and Phyllis are still arguing; this time about putting
Cane's girlfriend on the cover. Dropping something, Phyllis bends over
to pick it up when she finds something else. Something it looks like
Amber left behind.
Right on RSM
deadline, Sabrina, Jana and Victor arrive at the magazine for
Sabrina's photo shoot as she apparently needs a photo to accompany the
professor's article. Getting Nick aside, Victor presses him on a
matter of great importance. He spoke with Victoria and knows something
is going on with Nikki's marriage.
At the AC, Jack, Sharon, Nikki and Gloria are gathered with a
potential advertiser named Elise who is happy to know that RSM isn't
just another cookie-cutter magazine. It was Gloria, Elise says, who
convinced her to give RSM a chance.
Coming into the coffee shop, Chloe is talking to herself. Her period
is five days late. She's taken a pregnancy test eight times and
there's no doubt she's with child. Calling Cane, who is at the Indigo
with a friend visiting from Australia, Chloe says she needs his
signature on some papers. He'll gladly sign, but she'll have to come
to the Indigo.
Saying it's none of his business, Nick won't tell Victor anything. He
says to trust him; he'll take care of the situation. Victor holds Nick
to it as he leaves.
Throwing Amber's underwear at her, Phyllis says she found the panties
where Amber left them and wants Amber to explain herself. Not that she
has to, Amber says she's was simply changing her clothes. Besides
that, Amber knows what Phyllis is trying to do and it won't work.
Appreciative of Gloria's loyalty, Nikki doesn't appreciate it enough
to give Gloria her old executive job back, but says she'll think about
it. With Jeff at the bar, Gloria tells him about asking for her job
back. Nearby, Jack tells Sharon that Gloria thinks she can stay at the
pool house forever, and Sharon is saying again that when Noah gets
back Gloria will be gone, even though that's not what Jack said. Nor
does Sharon get upset when Jack says that right now Gloria is the
least of their problems. In order for the magazine to survive, their
partners will have to listen to him, or he'll find other means.
Cane's friend is simply on a "layover". His plane will be leaving
shortly as Chloe arrives and not that Cane is trying very hard, he
can't get rid of her.
Wearing a red dress, all gathered in her presence think Sabrina is
beautiful. Sabrina says she's not used to being in the spotlight as
Amber and Jana leave and Nikki arrives walking past Sabrina without
saying a word, then acknowledging her, says she's looking forward to
reading the article. Addressing Nick, Nikki says she heard from Jack
that the magazine is going through a change. Mainstream?
Meanwhile, Jack is calling Jamie to confirm their meeting later with
Kathy Hilton pertaining to ideas for the magazine's cover. They've got
to hurry because deadline is Friday, and Jack promises to deliver an
upscale product.
Pounding away
at a black bag at the AC gym, Victor's phone rings and without taking
the gloves off he opens it. Gamblers Anonymous? He owes how much? Find
out. What Victor didn't know was that Adam was lurking. Calling Skye,
Adam wants to know what she knows about David.
Back at the Indigo, Cane and his friend are getting drunk and Chloe is
pretending to be. Also there now, Jana is telling Amber that when
Kevin and Daniel get back she wants to have a spiritual awakening
séance of some sort to rid then of any negative karma. Amber is
worried that Daniel has cheated on her, and Jana says that's nonsense
as she knows Daniel talks about Amber day and night.
Drunker now and slurring their words, it's hard to understand what the
boys are saying, but it's clear when Chloe tells them she treats men
the way they deserve to be treated.
Nick complains to Nikki that he can't trust Jack. "He did save your
life," Nikki reminds him, but then suggests that Nick not play fair if
he wants to get one up on Jack. Jamie and Kathy arrive just then as
Nikki asks Nick, "You want to fight? Or win?"
Jeff can't understand why Gloria would want to be at Jabot at all as
she overhears Jack telling Sharon how much he misses Jabot. Being
there the other day, smelling that smell, gave Jack a craving. As Jack
and Sharon go to leave, he passes Gloria and she quips, "Miss your old
stomping grounds?" Jack ignores her, and when he's gone she tells Jeff
that Jabot is her rightful place and hints Jack might help make it
happen. "You two working together? Never happen," Jeff concludes.
With the ladies, Nick wants to start the meeting without Jack and so
they do. Nikki has a great idea she passes out before leaving and the
ladies think it's a great one. Before she can get away, Nick wonders
if Nikki is going to see David. She says no, and Nick adds that Victor
has been asking a lot of questions. Nick is back with the ladies when
Jack arrives and the ladies praise Nick and Nikki.
With Skye at the AC, Adam suggests they go to the gym to talk. Along
they way they run into Victor, introductions are had, Victor invites
Skye to the ranch, but she declines.
Jeff remembers that there's a court order preventing Jack from even
stepping inside the Jabot building. But, if Jeff and Gloria were to
buy a major stake in Jabot, they could make it so that Gloria would
have a major role in Jabot and Chancellor Industries too!
With Cane drunk as a skunk, Chloe tells his friend that Cane's
girlfriend is "so straight laced" which Cane counters by saying that
Lily is intelligent and sophisticated.
Jana is still
trying to convince Amber that Daniel loves her; he'd never cheat on
her, as the Professor comes in to witness Chloe trying to get Cane out
and into her car. On his way, Cane sees the Professor and says,
"Professor cowbell".
The look for RSM will be that old Hollywood look and it would appear
Jack has no say in the matter as Nick gets his digs in before Sharon
returns with Sabrina in toe.
Finding Nikki at the AC, Victor says they've got to talk.
Back at Indigo, the Professor is telling Amber to stop being so
paranoid. If she's so worried that Daniel will find out from Phyllis
what they did, Amber should be the first to tell him.
Jana returned to the magazine as the ladies were leaving and received
from Sabrina a gift. A crystal that will bring everlasting love.
Seeing Nick, Phyllis asked how the meeting went before saying she's
heard about the double-wedding. She also wonders if Nick saw the
photos Daniel sent. Aren't they great? Why don't they fire Amber, or
find a way to make her quit? Nick warns Phyllis to let it go, or
she'll be sorry.
Alone with Sharon, Jack whines that Nick knew damn well what he was
doing during that meeting. Sharon isn't much comfort as she says Jack
doesn't like sharing and should be happy that he got out of the
meeting what he did. When Sharon walks off, Jack calls the man who has
the dirt on Sabrina. And what a lucky day for Jack, the guy is now in
Chicago and he's ready to talk.
Managing to get Cane into her car just before he passed out, Chloe
presses herself against him, unbuttons his shirt, takes her dress
down, and puts the car seat back.
All Skye knows is that David may be addicted to gambling. Adam says
it's very important that he know because the more he knows, the more
leverage he'll have against Victor.
Victor knows that Nikki's marriage is in trouble and that David is a
gambler. Nikki's response is that David is in recovery and that she
doesn't have to talk about it. It's typical Victor, trying to control
her. "He's dangerous. You're playing with fire and don't know it,"
Victor warns as he leaves a shocked-looking Nikki behind.
A new day in
Genoa City, J.T. and Paul are at the AC confirming for Victor that
they are investigating David Chow. Victor says he's been doing some
probing of his own and knows about David's dead wives and that he's a
gambler. Victor also snorts that Paul and J.T. should know that his
family is at risk and from now on keep him in the loop. Paul says
okay, it's just that he and J.T. were trying to be covert. As for
telling Nikki, Victor told them to ignore what Nikki wants.
At the Indigo, David is meeting with Mel who, he tells Nikki when she
arrives, is his sponsor.
In her car, Chloe and Cane are snuggled together when he starts coming
around. Hung over, Cane gets a grip on the implication and starts
freaking out. No! No! No! What is Chloe doing? "I didn't do this!" he
swears.
As Kevin enters the coffee shop he sees the closed for private party
sign. The place empty, he calls out and it takes a while for Jana to
appear. Seeing Kevin, she gets all excited.
As a favor to Jack, Amber went to the magazine to get a phone number.
After calling Jack with it, she enters the elevator and has a
flashback to Daniel telling her to always tell the truth and seeing
herself with the Professor on the sofa. In real time, as the elevator
doors open, there's Daniel. How did he know where to find her?
"Process of elimination."
Daniel has a
gift. A sketchpad on which he drew the likeness of places he visited
while on tour. Amber is thrilled. Daniel did that for her? He did, and
he never stopped thinking about her. So, how about some sex? Not now.
Amber says they've got to go see Jana first.
Eating breakfast at the AC with his kin, Neil says he's on his way to
Indigo when Devon announces that Lily's plane should have landed by
now. And before they all depart, Karen arrives.
Victor presumes that because David blew through the fortunes of three
wives, and that he's in deep trouble presently, David must be after
Nikki's fortune too.
Nikki doesn't want David to ask her to give up on their marriage
despite his telling her that she should be very afraid of him.
At the Campus
house now, Lily is home. Cane and Chloe are there too and Lily demands
they tell her what they're arguing about. Cane blurts out that he
didn't do anything as Lily learns that he and Chloe were out drinking,
and finally Chloe says, "We had sex." Lily was outraged. "You slept
with her?" Cane denies it; he says Chloe has a few screws loose before
Chloe gets in that when she woke up Cane was on top of her and they
were naked. She was trying to be a good friend to Lily by telling the
truth, and Lily should know the most important thing: There were "no
feelings involved."
A welcome home gift, Jana gave Kevin a bracelet and he gave her a
"rare" Ouija board that he claims to have spent a "fortune" on in
Dublin. Just then Amber and Daniel arrive and they all agree that
everything is "awesome".
Neil wants to know if Karen can see how happy Devon is having his Aunt
and Cousin around. Karen can see it, as Neil announces that he's
offering Tyra a job as manager of the Indigo. And he's doing it all
for Devon.
David says Nikki should be very afraid to be with someone as
"unpredictable" as he is. She understands addiction, but can't walk
away not knowing what will become of him.
Paul gets a phone call after which he says, "The stakes just got
higher". David's step-daughter, Nina, was found dead and it wasn't an
accident.
Giving that "bitch" a piece of her mind, Lily rips into Chloe. She's
had it in for her since day one. Calling her fat, and now saying she
slept with Cane, what is Chloe, psychotic? The bottom line is that
Chloe better hope that Lily never runs into her again. If she does,
Chloe should run. Screaming for Chloe to get out, Lily tells Cane he
can get out too.
Ouija board time. Jana asks the first two questions. Did Kevin really
spend a fortune on the board? Answer: Yes. Did Daniel look at other
girls while he was gone? Answer: No. Then it's Daniel's turn to ask:
Did Amber look at other guys?" Answer: No. Daniel was relieved; his
girl did wait for him.
With Tyra at Indigo, Neil wants her to accept his job offer - for
Devon's sake. Tyra recalls how Devon has "suffered" so much, and she
accepts as Neil says how grateful he is that Tyra is here.
As Chloe is thinking outside in her car, Cane gets in to ask where she
thinks she's going.
Nikki is begging David. They can change. David doesn't get why Nikki
can't let him go. She can't help herself. Doesn't he want to spend the
rest of his life with her? Doesn't he know that she believes in him?
Getting off
his phone, Paul reports that Nina overdosed on prescription pain
killers. Victor wonders why Paul thinks it wasn't an accident.
Because, Nina was clean; she had a good job; she didn't so much as
take aspirin. Paul also knows that he was Nina's last hope for busting
David. Nina kept a diary in which she wrote before her death that
she'd heard from David.
Lily is thinking when Devon and Ana arrive. She gets rid of Ana by
saying she brought souvenirs from Los Angeles for her then tells Devon
about what happened earlier and that she doesn't know what to believe.
Well, from what Lily says it doesn't sound to Devon like the Cane he
knows.
Cane wants to know why Chloe did what she did. Did she plan it? Oh
yeah, she planned to get him drunk. She planned for him to come onto
her. "I was a weak woman", Chloe adds at which point Cane says he
wants her gone. For good. As in out of his, and Lily's life. Period.
Done with the Ouija board, Daniel and Amber head to her penthouse for
some sex.
After telling Paul and J.T. that he warned Nikki all along, and
reminding them again not to tell Nikki, Victor starts to leave when he
see Nikki and David.
Happy that Neil gave Tyra a job, Karen tells him that he's a good man
and she's lucky to have him.
At the penthouse, the clothes comes off and Daniel is wearing red
underwear!
Walking past Nikki and David, it looks like Victor is going to say
something, but all he does is stare and then leaves as Nikki continues
telling David that this is her life and she doesn't want David
shutting her out. Would he like to go up to her room? Just for
tonight? He is her husband. And off they go.
Karen and Neil are dancing. Does she recall the last time they danced?
She does. It was when she'd come back to him. She loves him. And
that's what Neil has wanted to hear as a montage begins of Amber and
Daniel done doing the deed; his telling her that he told her he'd come
back, and Cane banging on Lily's door. She lets him in and all is
forgiven as Lily says, and he promises, to put as much distance
between Chloe and them as possible.
In her car, Chloe is getting a call. Sorry, no booty call tonight she
says before telling whoever she's talking to that she's pregnant with
her new boyfriend's baby.
Another new
day in Genoa City, at the penthouse Amber is looking at the sketches
Daniel gave her and he's saying how much he missed her and she's in
somewhat disbelief.
Discussing gala plans at the gallery, Victoria and Sabrina argue over
the menu. There's talk of going to Chicago to find a caterer and this
brings up the fact that Philippe is in Chicago where an exhibition of
his work is on display. Sabrina claims to have stopped following
Philippe's career, and Victoria thinks she wants to go see him.
Sabrina says it's not so. Victor made her forget all about Philippe.
At the Abbott mansion Jack is asking Philippe how he met Sabrina. The
story goes that from the first time they met Sabrina didn't like his
work, and yet she was taken with him even though he was involved with
another woman at the time. Philippe says Sabrina wanted him so bad she
created a one-night show for him.
On deadline, Nick complains that last minute photo shoots are
expensive and wonders why Jack isn't there. Sharon says he's meeting
with a potential advertiser when Phyllis chimes in to say their
potential cover girl was arrested last night for stealing a diamond
bracelet. "Jack sure knows how to pick 'em, don't he?" Phyllis sneers.
With Nikki at the coffee shop, David says the sex last night was good,
but it doesn't change anything. He's got things to prove to himself
and until he does, they can't be together.
When the Professor arrives at the gallery he's thanked by Sabrina and
Victor for giving them an advance copy of the article. They like it.
The only other thing to be learned from Jack's meeting was that
Philippe is quite the ladies man.
After another round of sex, Amber is feeling guilty. Daniel says she
can tell him anything as she asks if he loves her because she knows he
had sex with the woman in the picture he sent to Phyllis. Daniel says
he was never alone with any woman. Ask Kevin if she doesn't believe
him. And is she saying Phyllis Photo-shopped the picture? Near tears,
that's exactly what Amber is saying. Phyllis made sure she saw the
photo and when she didn't hear from him, well. Well nothing. Daniel
says he was never away from Amber in "any way that matters". He's come
a long way and learned a lot since becoming famous and he'd never hurt
her.
More bad news at the magazine as Nick learns that a singing star cover
girl backup has bailed on them. Now who will they get for the cover?
How about - Sharon!
Arriving at the AC, Philippe and Victoria run into each other. She
wants to know if he's in Genoa City to see Sabrina. He says no; he
came for the scenery. Yes, he read about Sabrina getting married, but
doesn't seem that interested. Victoria's not buying it. She knows it's
no coincidence that he and Sabrina are in town at the same time.
Another reason
David and Nikki can't be together is that he doesn't want her covering
his "gambling ass". A phone call, Nikki goes to take it as Brad comes
over to invite David to a poker game. High stakes, it takes $25,000 to
buy in. David's not interested, and when Nikki comes back to ask what
they were talking about, Brad says business, then adds that he's
surprised to see them together when they should be at work.
It's determined that because Sharon is a partner, she can't be on the
cover. Daniel and Amber arrive and as she explains what the Professor
is doing there now, the Professor is giving Amber the eye. When the
name Lily comes up again for the cover, Jack says no. The magazine
needs a woman with class. That's when another suggestion is made for
cover girl. Victoria!
With Victor at the AC, Victoria is whining and sniveling again. It's
been one of those days, she says as Victor has to pry out of her what
the matter is because he can see she's troubled. She's got that look
on her face that she had as a kid. This jogs Victoria's memory of the
time she and Nick were caught playing football in the living room and
broke something of great value. Okay, so there is something bothering
her. She saw Sabrina's old boyfriend. Philippe and Sabrina were very
involved and Victoria wonders why Philippe is suddenly in town.
Finding Sabrina at the gallery, Philippe says hello and gets a chilly
reception. She's not happy to see him and flashes her wedding ring at
him. No matter the ring, Philippe can tell that she still loves him.
Sabrina says she loves Victor; she's moved on; Philippe means nothing
to her.
Now Victoria has Victor convinced that Sabrina was hiding something
from him. She tells how Sabrina and Philippe were madly in love and
that Sabrina never got him out of her system. She's also surprised
that Victor and Sabrina found each other so quickly. Gosh, could
Sabrina married him under "false pretences", Victor wonders.
Brad is upset to learn that Nikki removed him from a meeting he was
supposed to have with a client and gave the job to David. Nikki's
decision is final. Meantime, David's phone is ringing. It's Walter.
Yes, David said he'd do a couple more jobs for Walter, but things
changed. How much? Well then, pay David half of it up front and he'll
do the work. And while this was happening, Brad was telling Skye that
David might not be coming to the game. Brad also notes the ring around
her neck. Without saying it's Adam's ring, Skye talks about the #2 guy
at Harvard, and that she was #1.
With Nikki now, Victoria can't understand what's wrong with her? Nikki
says she trusts David; she still loves and stands behind him.
Thanking Jack
and all for the opportunity to work with them, the Professor leaves
and Jack asks if Nick has called Victoria. Nick's not sure he should
until Jack says "Newman's sell" and Sharon suggests having Victoria on
the cover would be good PR for the charity gala.
At the same time, Daniel is showing Phyllis the photo. He knows why
she did it.
David calls Brad. Is there still room for him at the poker table? Do
bears crap in the woods? He'll be there with bells on. After the call,
Skye wants to know what Brad has to gain. "Let's just say I like
winning."
Victor went to the gallery to tell Sabrina what Victoria told him.
Sabrina was surprised. Victoria did that? Victor wants to know why she
never told him about Philippe. Because it was over; she's a new person
now that she's with Victor and - don't forget the baby. All Victor
need do is trust her. And so it was that Victor said all is forgotten.
Nikki was surprised too that Victoria would tell Victor. "That's not
like you," Nikki said, as Nick called Victoria to ask that she be on
the cover. Me? On the cover? Heavens no, Victoria can't do it. She
doesn't want her face plastered around the world. But Nikki persists
that she do it because Nick wouldn't have asked if he didn't trust his
sister.
Phyllis is telling Daniel how she wanted his picture as her computer
wallpaper and cropped it as best she good. She tells him to drop it
when he insinuates again why she did it, and then tells him point
blank that Amber is wrong for him; that he doesn't know Amber, but
that will change. Phyllis can see what Daniel can't. Phyllis only
wants to protect him. Daniel said he doesn't want her protection and
then stomped out.
It's deadline
at the magazine and there are problems galore. Jack, Nick, Sharon and
Phyllis are wondering what they'll do for a cover girl when Victoria
arrives to save the day.
At Brad's home, the poker game is about to get underway. Skye is there
along with David, and another David who says he's a judge, but then
confesses he's a chiropractor and that the other David looks like he
could use an adjustment. The game? With $25,000 stakes just to enter?
Texas Hold 'Em.
Neil and the Hamilton's are getting ready for Ana's big night. Neil
wants to be the man who can say he discovered Ana as she'll be singing
at the Indigo. Oh, but wait. Ana doesn't want to sing.
At Indigo, Chloe is thinking about being in her car with Cane who is
there too. She hints of going to a lawyer to pursue a case of sexual
harassment because Cane has fired her and he tells her again that he's
not interested in her, never was, never will be and that nothing
happened between them. "Get out of my face!" he growls before
apparently blowing his line when he tells Chloe, "Stay away from
Chloe."
A break in the poker game, Brad and Skye conspire. David Chow has been
winning, but his luck is about to change.
More deadline madness as preparations are made to shoot Victoria for
the cover. Also there, Amber whines to Daniel again that Phyllis
doesn't like her.
Seeing Victor at the AC, Adam comes over to say, "Hello, Sir," and
starts talking about business. Jabot is preparing its all-natural
product launch and now that he knows about David, Adam is thinking it
might be to their advantage to get the word out about David being a
gambler. Just then Sabrina arrives, so Victor dismisses Adam allowing
for Sabrina to say she can't believe that Victoria went behind her
back. Victor doesn't want her to get upset. It's not good for her - or
the baby. As far as trusting Sabrina, Victor says he does -
completely.
Back at the magazine, with Nikki there, Phyllis tells Victoria to
think Becall and Hepburn. The Professor is there too and happy when
he's asked to write another article for the next issue of RSM.
Sabrina has
gone off looking for Victoria when Adam returns to ask what Victor
thinks about his idea. Victor doesn't like it; people would get hurt.
When Adam presses, Victor grunts, "End of discussion."
David's got a full house, but Skye's got four threes. She wins. David
thinks she's lucky.
On a computer, Daniel is showing Amber and the Professor how to make
"Restless Amber" move about on the screen. See? He can even make her
lips big.
Ana is scared. Tyra says she doesn't have to sing if she doesn't want
to until Karen jumps in to say she had stage fright too until Neil
gave her the tip to focus on one person when singing. Like Devon?, Ana
suggests. Yes, like Devon.
The game over, both David's are gone. Brad and Skye are splitting the
loot when she says she saw him dealing from the bottom of the deck. He
must really hate David.
Bad news for Amber. Jack reports that the hosting company called to
say there's not enough bandwidth to support Restless Amber. So why
don't they just get more bandwidth? "It's not the easy," says Jack.
Amber is devastated. And alone with the Professor she whispers what
would seem to be concern that Daniel knows what they did. The
Professors says he didn't hear it from him.
When Lily learns that Cane fired Chloe, she's elated.
Looking now like a flapper, Victoria is sporting the Louise Brooks
look and everyone thinks it's amazing when Sabrina blows in. "I can't
believe you could be such a bitch!" Sabrina hisses, her claws
extended. Victoria crossed the line!
Nick tried
without success to break the girls up as Nikki butt her nose in too.
Sabrina refuses to leave until she gets an apology from Victoria who
says it'll be a cold day in hell before she apologizes. Sabrina knew
that Philippe was in town, and it was she who betrayed their
friendship. Sabrina counters with it being Victoria who wanted to
break her and Victor up, and she's such a vindictive bitch. Victoria's
shoots back that Sabrina can damn well resign as co-chair of the
charity gala.
On the phone,
Chloe learns that the blood test is positive. She's not sure at this
point if she'll keep the baby and no, she doesn't need counseling or
to see a doctor. At the same time, Neil is introducing Ana. The crowd,
made up mostly of friends and family, goes wild before Ana has sung
her first note. Looking on, Chloe takes note of the kiss Cane gave
Lily. The lyrics to Ana's song has about ten words. "Love", love, love
and more love which is "key to the world". When she's done, the crowd
goes wild. It's agreed that Ana was "amazing" and Karen came close to
tears. Kids, they can really tug at the heartstrings, says Neil.
Running into Chloe, Lily tells her to go away. Chloe complains that
she's been fired and gets in another dig when she says that Cane is a
good kisser. He was so good she couldn't help herself and Lily will
learn soon enough that Cane isn't "Mr. Perfect."
At the airport, Skye calls Adam with her report. She wore her lucky
ring, Brad rigged the game, and now she's leaving town. As she hangs
up, Skye sees someone. "What are you do here?"
The magazine all set to roll, Jack and the gang congratulate
themselves on a job well done. They'll go to the AC to celebrate. Jack
will catch up with them, but first he's got to make a change to the
Professor's article.
At the AC, Sabrina is back reporting to Victor what happened and
worries that she's making more problems between father and daughter.
While this is going on, Victoria is telling Nikki that she knows
Philippe came to town purposely to see Sabrina.
Not telling the others what he was going to do, Jack is on his
computer adding words to the article about Sabrina to show that she
seduced Philippe.
As Daniel rambles on that he missed seeing the spot on Amber's neck,
she's telling him that she's tried so hard not to be the person she
used to be. But she thought he was sleeping around. Daniel admits that
he's not "a great communicator", but he did try to email her. Then it
hits him. Amber says it was a "mistake", Daniel storms off, and Amber
breaks down bawling.
