It's the same
day in Genoa City. At the AC, Nikki is thinking back to what David
said when he comes over. She apparently spent the night somewhere
else. Nikki says he hurt her, and he wants to know if she can get past
it.
There's a photo shoot going on at Jabot. Lily is being told how to
pose as the camera clicks away. Brad tells Chloe he thinks Lily is
great, but Chloe isn't so sure. When Cane comes along to say that Lily
is doing great, Chloe asks if he put something in Lily's coffee.
Getting Lily alone, Cane kisses her.
At the main house, Victoria wants Sabrina to stay in Genoa City, but
Sabrina says she's got to get to New York as Victor walks in.
Telling David it's too soon to talk about forgiveness; he lied big
time and she trusted him, David begs; he'll move out of the suite;
quit his job; whatever Nikki wants. Sorry, Nikki is too confused and
she takes off.
When Victoria says she has a meeting with Adam, Sabrina asks to see
the private art collection and Victor invites her over to the office.
With Victor gone, Sabrina is surprised to learn that Victoria's
parents are divorced. Victoria says yes, many times, and goes on to
tell about Adam being Victor's son before begging again for Sabrina to
stay in Genoa City forever.
Back at the shoot, David arrives to tell Brad that he doesn't like
Brad going over his head to Nikki.
With Adam in his office, Victor listens to him talk about new
advertising ideas and his complaint that Victoria is missing a lot of
meetings because of the baby. Victor snorts at him not to worry about
it and so Adam tells of having dinner with Phyllis and Nick, that he
thinks Nick is a "savvy" business man, and questions why Victor won't
support the magazine. Victor fires back it's not something for Adam to
get in the middle of.
Now at the outhouse, Nikki gets hit with a "what are you doing here"
by Victoria who is introduced to Sabrina. Saying she's got a gallery
to tour, Sabrina begs off giving Nikki a chance to tell Victoria that
David has been lying to her.
Trying to cool
David down, Brad gets him to agree to talk about working together over
coffee at the AC. As David's leaving, his phone rings. It's Walter
giving him 24-hours to get the money.
Back at the shoot a lunch break is called so Lily, Cane and Chloe head
off to the coffee shop, but not before Cane tells Lily, "You really
are your mother's daughter."
Adam's plan is to advertise Beauty of Nature in Nick's
magazine. Victor says it's money down the drain. "You sure this isn't
personal?" Adam wonders. "You questioning my judgment?" Victor growls.
"No, Mr. Newman," Adam whimpers as Victoria comes in to say she agrees
with Adam. Since he's outnumbered, Victor goes along.
Now at Jabot too, Cane informs Nikki that Brad and David are having
coffee at the AC. And sure enough, David is telling Brad how the chain
of command works. Brad is worried that David may cross the line and
reminds David he's been in the business longer than David and not to
underestimate him. When David says it's his job to protect Nikki, Brad
says he knows her better than David does too. Well, it's Brad's job to
report to David and if he's got a problem with that, than there's a
problem. No, there's no problem, says Brad who leaves giving Walter a
chance to ask David if there's something wrong.
At the coffee shop, Chloe and Lily talk about modeling, Paris,
shopping and general chit-chat.
By the NE elevator, Adam tells Victoria that they make a good team as
Sabrina appears and meets Adam who wants to know how the girls met.
Sabrina gives him the short story and is quick to point out to Adam
that she's not rich, as he thought. Besides that, she's much taller.
With that, Victoria and Sabrina leave.
Back at shoot Chloe is barking orders and a remark is made that this
is Chloe's "evil twin".
In Victoria's new office, baby stuff is everywhere. Yup, that's her
dad, Victoria beams as Victor walks in. Sabrina told him she's
impressed as he's ready to show her the art collection. Before
leaving, Victor informed Victoria that she and Adam are making a
mistake, but he'll stand aside and let them find out for themselves.
Now at the AC too, Sabrina tells Victor she loved the collection and
that meeting Victoria was the greatest thing that ever happened to
her. Victoria changed her life and was her first American friend.
"You're a wonderful woman," David told Nikki as she spotted Victor
with Sabrina.
Locking the door, Cane gets Lily alone in a room and they kiss.
Adam and Victoria meet at the coffee shop. He wants to know who was
hired as Restless Style Magazine's web expert. Why, that would be
Phyllis, of course. Adam thinks the on-line version of the magazine
will takeoff more than the print version. Victoria grumbles. Adam's
ambition is showing; he shouldn't press his luck. NE was doing just
fine before he came along.
Victor and Sabrina talk about art. It puts Victor at peace in an
otherwise cruel world. That's good news for Sabrina who suggests she
sell him some more art.
As for Nikki's question what David will do about Walter, David says
he'll handle it as Sabrina and Victor stop by their table. After a
quick meet and greet, alone with Victor, Sabrina asks about his
divorce and says that her parents were divorced too when she was
young. All the talk about art has moved Victor. He's thinking it might
be good for him to start living in the present.
At the AC
again, Nikki tells Brad she wants to be alone with David. She's made a
decision and so long as David swears to be true from now on she'll
"share his struggle."
The shoot goes on, but there's a new development. Cane tells Lily that
Style Magazine will be holding an event at Indigo and that she'll
represent Jabot at it. They've got a week to get Lily ready.

In her office
with J.T., Victoria is on the phone with Gabby the nurse checking on
the baby. The fever is almost gone, but yet Victoria worries. J.T says
she worries too much. Gabby is a "top notch" nurse. As J.T. goes out,
Adam comes in to say he's on his way to the warehouse to see Nick and
Phyllis.
In his office, Victor looks up when Neil appears to ask what's the
deal with the ad in Restless Fashion? Victor is well aware of the ad,
and yes he's still opposed to the magazine. The plan is to teach Adam
and Victoria a lesson in business. So, Neil assumes, the plan is to
have the magazine and the ad campaign fail? That's right, Victor
confirms.
Back from California, Jack and Sharon are at the warehouse and Jack is
booming that Noah was "in heaven" during their trip. Jack loves what
Nick and Phyllis have done with the warehouse and announces that
Sharon is joining the team. Nick and Phyllis are elated; but who will
run the foundation? Ben Hollander. Just then the lights flicker and go
out.
Over at Jabot, Nikki is telling David it's time to end it. His
nightmare, that is. She's going to pay off his gambling debt.
Still in his office with Neil, Victor receives a message from Sabrina
thanking him for the art tour. Neil wonders if it means Victor will be
hiring an art consultant. Victor says he doesn't know why he would;
he's never needed an art consultant before.
As Adam and Victoria talk about business, Sabrina interrupts to say
she was impressed with the tour Victor gave her and tells Adam she's
an art consultant. Adam knows all about art. He studied it as a
commodity at Harvard! Sabrina says then he must not understand modern
art. Victoria chimes in to say she wants Sabrina to become Victor's
art consultant. Only Sabrina can change his mind about art.
David can't allow Nikki to pay his debt. But she will because she
understands addictions. She knows too that David is likely to gamble
again. David swears he won't. Nikki goes on to say she's got to pay
his debt because otherwise Walter will make his life miserable. She
also wants to know if there are any other Walters floating around out
there. David says no. As a prerequisite to her generosity, Nikki makes
David promise that he'll get professional help. He says he will, and
that he'll pay back every penny. That said, David calls Walter. He has
the money. Now, David and Nikki can get married, right? Wrong. Nikki
says it's too early to be rushing into a marriage.
This changes everything. David won't take the money under those
circumstances. Nikki told him to slow down; she still loves him, but
marriage is a big step. She says again she thinks he'll gamble and
wants proof that he's getting help. As David leaves, Brad comes in.
Everything okay between her and David? Yes, not that it's any of
Brad's business. Oh, but Brad says it is his business.
More panic as Victoria gets a call from the doctor. The baby has a
staph infection, but won't need to go back to the hospital. Not that
she heard the word prescription pass Victoria's lips, Sabrina says
she'll go the pharmacy to pickup a prescription for the baby.
The lights are back on as Nick wants to know what bad news Jack has.
Eric Forrester said no to advertising in the magazine and Jack
suspects Victor's behind it because Ashley told him that Eric's
secretary told her that after Jack's meeting, Eric called Victor.
Well, that does it. Nick is pissed off. Phyllis finds it hard to
believe that Victor would do such a thing. Jack says it's just the
beginning; Victor wants the magazine to fail.
Now at the outhouse, Gabby is actually seen with the baby which
Victoria says again is so "fragile". Sabrina is there too with the
prescription; drops of some sort in a vial that looks identical to the
one Gloria's poison was in.
Brad's concern is that personal problems are not conducive to a good
workplace environment. Nikki told him to focus on his job and he'll be
fine.
Mentioning something about a party at the Indigo, with Nick gone out
on the warpath, Jack wants to know if Phyllis is okay. She doesn't
like that Nick lets Victor upset him and will stay behind to work on
the web site as Jack and Sharon leave so she can be there alone when
Adam arrives. And arrive he does with good news that Beauty of
Nature ads will be running in the magazine and on the web site.
Hearing a commotion, Victor goes to see what's the matter. It's only
Nick come to rant that daddy has gone too far this time.
Off to run some errands and to change her travel plans, Sabrina asks
J.T. to take good care of Victoria while she's gone. And when she's
gone Victoria starts worrying that the baby is having pain.
Adam informed Phyllis he knows Victor wants the magazine to fail, but
he wants to see Victor proven wrong. Adam also wants the BON ad to be
the centerfold, for Phyllis to guarantee editorial content favorable
to BON, and a banner ad on the web site. He also has a sense that
Phyllis is the magazine's real inspiration.
Growling that he knows how Victor operates, Nick orders Victor to
leave him alone and concentrate on his other son. He doesn't care that
Victor only gave Eric his opinion about the magazine and saying "I'm
not a child", demands to be treated like an equal as he storms out.
Pouring himself a glass of water, Victor smiles as Sabrina walks in.
Victoria is
worried that the baby isn't eating as well as it should. She's feeling
guilty and blaming herself. None of this would have happened if she
hadn't gone to Clear Springs.
After giving Victor an update on the baby, Sabrina says she's worried
about a "fragile" Victoria and will be staying in town a few more
days.
Brad leaves as David returns ready to take care of Walter. Nikki calls
the bank to have $225,000 transferred to David's account unaware that
Brad is listening outside the door.
At the AC, Sharon is sputtering to Jack that she can't imagine
treating Noah the way Victor treats Nick. Not to worry, Jack says
they'll make the magazine a "raging" success to spite Victor. "We make
a good team, don't we?" Sharon coos. Yes, they do. "Life's funny that
way," Jack quips.
Also there, David is meeting with Walter. The money will be
transferred to Walter's account later today. Thanking him, Walter
reminds David that he has his number and should he need to place a
bet... David says he won't and Walter goes to the bar where who should
come along to buy him a drink? Brad!
Back at the outhouse, Sabrina is on hand when J.T. assures Victoria
that the baby being sick has nothing to do with her going back to
work. Gabby wants to take the baby upstairs, but Victoria says no; she
wants to keep the baby close to her. In pops Victor. Oh, look at the
pretty baby! He'll just take the baby upstairs. Nick pops in to, meets
Sabrina, and then leaves.
Back at the warehouse, Adam is telling Phyllis that she's very
talented. Phyllis says it's not just her. Nick, everyone, they make a
good team. Adam thinks she could make the web site very profitable in
no time and when that happens she should sell it and make a ton of
money. Phyllis isn't interested. She... oh no! The lights go out
again.

It's getting
late in Genoa City. At the warehouse Phyllis is calling Nick to tell
him the power went out again. He wants her to come home, but she must
stay because she was working on the "software interface" for the web
site and wants to be sure no files were lost. Emergency power is on
and so Nick says he'll call the electrician after Phyllis says she's
not there alone. Adam came by with good news; they've got the
Beauty of Nature account. Nick thinks there's a catch, but for now
he's calling the electrician, leaving a message which includes the
fact that the electrician knows his cell number.
Nick was at the tacky house with Sharon who apparently came to drop
Noah off. She wants to know if Nick has talked with Victor, he tells
what happened during his "rant", and that Victor wants the magazine to
fail. Sharon also wants to know if he's aware that Adam is being
groomed for his old job.
At the Abbott's, Gloria and Jeffery are having a major argument and
Jack is overhearing. Jeff lets it be known that he wasn't about to let
his Korean girlfriend (Kyon) get within Gloria's reach and that he's
the one who controls Gloria.
The coffee shop finds Amber getting ready to move and Daniel will help
her. Speaking with Kevin, Daniel says there's something weird going
on. How can Amber afford that penthouse?
Jeff wants sex. Gloria does not. Never! Not in John Abbott's home.
Okay, so why don't we work together? Gloria doesn't want that either
and as she storms past Jack snaps at him, "Shut up!"
Adam wants
Phyllis to talk about herself. She wants him to talk about himself. He
says there's nothing to tell; he's an open book. But wasn't it tragic
losing his mother and moving to Genoa City? Yes, losing Hope hit him
hard. It was on her death bed that Hope first told him that Victor is
his father.
Kevin and Daniel go over and over Amber's wealth. Internet sales?
$6,000? Daniel surmises she's in some kind of trouble. So why does he
care? Because Amber can't set boundaries for herself. To Kevin, it
sounds like Daniel's in love. No, Daniel says he and Amber are just
friends. It just so happens that he loves his friends, but he's not
dumb enough to fall in love.
Nick and Sharon continue their task of reducing Adam to the lowest
common denominator. Adam isn't interested in the Newman family. Victor
has big plans for him, but one day he'll learn what Victor is really
like.
Adam finds it hard to believe that Hope married Victor. Phyllis
gathers it's hard on Adam trying to move about between two worlds.
Adam wants to know if Phyllis came from nothing like he did, and says
nothing was ever handed him on a silver platter. Phyllis suspects that
Adam is jealous of Nick. She adds that every day Nick proves himself
to Victor and for Adam not to resent Nick. "Nick and I come from
different backgrounds," Adam concludes.
On the coffee shop patio, Gloria informs Kevin that she's going to
kill Jeff in his sleep. Kevin thinks she's paranoid, but can tell
she's serious. They also find it strange that Kyon wasn't on the plane
as Kevin's "PI" informed him. This can only mean that Jeff has been
spying on them.
Sharon wants Nick to become Adam's friend. "That's just like you;
always looking out for the underdog," Nick remarks as the electrician
calls to say he'll go by the warehouse. Nick will go by too, and
before leaving informs Sharon not to worry if she wants to leave
because the kids are upstairs with "the baby-sitter".
Adam says he's proud to be making his own way, but Phyllis thinks he
thinks the Newman's are "dilettantes." Adam changes the subject. Why
did Nick get fired? Phyllis says he'll find out soon enough what it's
like for a Newman to work for a Newman.
At the penthouse Jana is helping Amber move in and when Daniel appears
begs off. Looking at some of Amber's junk, she comments it's from her
Madonna years of which Daniel says he wishes he knew her then.
Suddenly they're turned on. They kiss and Amber starts moaning.
After thanking Adam for watching his wife, Nick wants to know how he
changed Victor's mind about the ad. It's Victor's way of teaching him
a lesson Adam says and then leaves. The electrician informs Nick that
he'll have to work through the night and this will add 30% to the
bill. Nick gripes to Phyllis about the cost, but she says not to
worry. The ad money from BON will cover it.
Jack talks to
Jeff again about selling his half of the house. Jeff says he'll give
him an answer in 24-hours and leaves as Sharon comes in giving Jack
the opportunity to tell her what he saw. The Bardwell marriage is a
sham. Sharon thinks, that's weird, before saying they need to keep
Noah away from those sick people. Jack's got a plan. Get Gloria to
sign something she doesn't know what she's signing. It'll be his word
against hers should something go wrong and they end up in court again.
Gloria informs Kevin that there will be no more conversations in the
mansion. Kevin agrees; Jeff could be bugging her phone too. What about
an accident? People are dying on the streets every day. Kevin says
she'd be the first person the cops would suspect. Wrong. Gloria says
it's well known that Jack hates Jeff. Kevin's starting to see the
picture. Frame Jack! Oops, Jana has been listening.
Hot and moaning and breathing hard, Daniel and Amber go upstairs.
The power on at the tacky house intrigues Phyllis as Nick wants to
know what she and Adam talked about. What's her impression? Phyllis
thinks that Adam isn't who he wants to be. He's looking for Victor's
approval, and to her and Nick as friends, and she thinks they should
give Adam a chance.
Aware that Jana heard what they were talking about, Gloria shines it
on. "Every wife wants to kill her husband at some point". They were
only joking. When Jana leaves Gloria goes on to tells Kevin that
they'll frame Jack. Kevin says he won't help, but she knows he will.
In comes Jeff. He knew where to find her and he's rented a room at the
AC. "Sonny boy" better cover his ears if he doesn't want to know what
Jeff plans doing to Gloria in that room. As Kevin scurries off, Jeff
tells Gloria that he wants her to fall for him the way he fell for
her. He's ready to set her free. There's no longer a reason for them
to be married and the divorce papers will be ready in the morning.
The deed apparently done, as Daniel pulls on his pants he knocks over
some stuff. Picking up a pink bag, he's shocked. The bag is stuffed
with money!
It's late.
Nick and Phyllis can't sleep. He's stressed out from trying to put a
magazine together and there's only one thing to do. Play space
invaders!
Down at the outhouse, the baby reported to be fine and sleeping, J.T.
and Victoria consider a late night snack of leftover pizza. With
Sabrina said to be up at the main house reading and recovering from
jet lag, J.T tells Victoria she's a great mom.
Up at the main house, Victor is alone looking at pictures of Nick and
Victoria.
Closing time at the Indigo, Karen informs Neil that she loved singing
for him. It brought out a whole other side of her. Neil wants to know
what she thinks about when she sings and says this is what love is all
about.
Still at the penthouse, Daniel wants to know where the money came
from. From the Internet; CD sales are really taking off, Amber
explains. Only Daniel knows better and if she doesn't tell him he's
going to walk.
Neil tells Karen he loves her.
Victor has a flashback to when he bellowed about not needing anyone
and when he fired Nick.
At the AC drinking coffee, Adam is on his notebook and thinking about
Phyllis.
Back at the tacky house Phyllis and Nick are getting busy.
The money came from Plum, Amber blurts out as she starts bawling. It
didn't burn in the fire. Daniel seems worried. Now Amber has gone and
done it; got them in trouble. The Feds are looking for that money. Oh
no they're not! Amber says the case is closed. Yelling at each other
now, Amber says she loves Daniel and didn't tell him about the money
because she didn't want to drag him and Kevin back into the mess they
were in before.
Victoria wonders if J.T. worries about the baby as much as she does.
He worries more about her because she hasn't been the same since the
wedding. She says maybe it's the "baby blues". She loves J.T. and
wouldn't know what she'd do without him.
Adam makes a long distance call. He leaves a message asking whoever
he's calling how he/she is doing, although he doesn't know why he
should care, he does miss NYC.
Dancing now, Neil asks Karen to move in with him. Ah, but she's an
"independent" woman and making such a move would be a big step. He's
ready to take that step with her.
Thinking he sees Phyllis at his table, Adam gives her a kiss then
talking to himself mutters, "stupid."
Told by Phyllis that he's working so hard, Nick says he wants to tell
Jack that he's done with the magazine. He'd rather have sex and play
video games. "Let's live on love," Phyllis suggests as the topic
changes to Adam who Phyllis says Nick needs to lighten up on.
Amber wants Daniel's help figuring out what to do. He wants to turn
the money in, but she says they need it more than the cops do.
Besides, the cops aren't looking for the money and Daniel should think
of what he can buy with it. It's only $10,000, but Amber says she'd
like to buy a new car. When she moves in for a kiss, Daniel tosses
some of the money into the air and the clothes come off.
J.T. is talking about what the baby will be like when it grows up and
how they'll think back to those days when they changed diapers and
cleaned up "baby puke".
Nick goes on and on about Adam whom Phyllis says is "young and
efficient". When Nick adds that he just might help Adam learn the
Newman ropes, Phyllis is impressed. "You are a good man."
Neil wants to see Karen's face when he wakes up in the morning and
goes to bed at night. Karen says she's not ready for marriage and
wants to be sure he knows what they'd be getting into. He knows all
too well, and that they have a future together.
Making his way
to the ranch, Adam shows up at Victor's door and is impressed with the
old house. He also has a new marketing idea: Change the name Beauty
of Nature to something else. Victor confesses that he wanted him
to fail and Adam says he knew. So, does Adam feel betrayed? "I'm not
upset, sir." He does want to do something with his life, however.
Nick and Phyllis are still talking about Adam and what Sharon thinks.
After sex, Daniel says he'll think about what they'll do with money.
As Adam continues calling him "sir", Victor says he has two choices:
Be alone, like the old man, or accept the Newman name. "Now please
show yourself out", Victor grunts as he goes upstairs.
Karen is concerned that Lily still lives with Neil. Neil says it's
"complicated", but presumes that Karen could deal with having Lily
around as they dance again this time without music.
With J.T. and the baby asleep on the sofa, Victoria watches over them.
Looking around the big house, and at the pictures of Nick and
Victoria, Adam likes what he sees.
Amber wants to know if Daniel would marry her if she was rich. Picking
up a pack of bills, Daniel says "Maybe there's a way we can have it
all."
Not quite so
boring a day as yesterday, Nick and Phyllis are at the warehouse and
there's still a problem with the power going on and off. Daniel offers
his assistance to the electrician, and while they wait Nick tells
Phyllis that the magazine is coming together when Adam calls to ask if
he can come by with some ad copy.
In Victor's office, Adam says Beauty of Nature is coming together. He
didn't get much sleep and was up early this morning working with the
ad guys. Victor is laughing. Adam reminds him of someone; so clever.
Victoria comes in and she's not happy. After telling Victor that J.T.
will be bringing the baby by later, she gets upset over what Adam has
done.
Heather is back and at the AC with Paul whom she calls "Paul". Her job
is in serious jeopardy and this disturbs her because the job "defines"
her.
At the Abbott house, Jack and Sharon are shocked at what Gloria has
done. She's remodeled the place to look like something out of the
70's. Sharon thinks it's funny, but Jack says the fun and games are
about to end. Why, at this early morning hour the answer to their
problem could be in the mailbox. Sure enough, the mailman has
delivered a box. What's in the box, Sharon wonders. Can't talk about
it here. The Bardwells might be listening.
Left alone in Victor's office, Adam and Victoria get into it. She
doesn't want the name of BON changed and from now on wants her say in
anything Adam does concerning business. NE has spent thousands on
establishing BON and she doesn't care for the names "Fresh" and
"Inspire" as Adam suggests. BON's female consumers already know that
BON is made with natural ingredients. And with that she storms out.
Paul doesn't want Heather being so down on herself. What brought this
about anyway? Something he did? Heather says no, but she did follow
his lead and wishes she hadn't because it may cost her a job. Paul
again suggests that she "change horses". Heather doesn't want to
change horses, and storms out.
Jack and Sharon went to the coffee house where they opened the box.
Inside there's a clock. Not any old clock, a spy-cam! Jack's certain
that Gloria can't be convinced to let Jeff sell his half of the house
and so they've got to catch them breaking terms of the living together
agreement.
Spotting Jack and Sharon with a box, Kevin orders Jana to find out
what's in it. She goes over to their table, makes small talk, and is
about to tell them something she knows about Gloria when Kevin comes
over and chases her away. Just then Gloria comes in and get hit by
Sharon who says she's sorry for putting a hole in the bean bag sofa.
Going to talk with Kevin about what Jeff could be up to, Kevin tells
Gloria that she is "the queen of twisted plots."
Back at the
magazine, Jack comes in to tell Nick and Phyllis that he's arranged a
free lunch party next week. Ashley, and Eric Forrester will be there
and Nick will get a chance to change Eric's mind about advertising in
the magazine. Nick is amazed at Jack's wheeling and dealing. "You are
a master marketer."
Following Heather to the coffee shop, before Paul can pin her down
again he's stopped by Kevin who wants to hire him. First, Kevin wants
to know if Paul has a confidentiality ethic. No, but Paul says he is
very discreet. What Kevin wants is for Paul to follow Jeff "for a
couple days" who he says may be cheating on Gloria with another woman.
Paul says he'll do what he can.
With Adam again, Victoria says BON is doing great the way it is. She
thinks Adam is trying to prove himself, and calling a meeting without
her approval was a waste of time. Adam says he thinks she's
"insecure". You got a degree in what - art?" Before Victoria can
react, J.T. arrives with the baby.
Paul keeps telling Heather to move on. "Are you giving me fatherly
advice? Why am I talking to you at all?" Paul says that if she doesn't
want fatherly advice then she should take what he said as "friendly
advice". Again, Heather storms off.
Calling him "sir" didn't help Adam win Victor over. He doesn't like
the name change either and says Adam would do well to learn the Newman
ropes before he starts making changes.
Grumbling to J.T. that Adam thinks she can't work and be a mother,
Victoria says she'll show Adam she's a force to be reckoned with.
"That's my girl!" J.T. beams.
With Phyllis again, Adam says they're thinking of changing BON's name,
but leave it the way it is for now. He also wants to know if the
magazine will give BON favorable editorial content. And while just
yesterday she said she would, Phyllis has since changed her mind and
Adam is okay with it.
He's okay too with going out to dinner with Nick and Phyllis so long
as it's not a family thing. Asking if he'd like to see a mockup of the
on-line version of the magazine, Phyllis shows Adam what she's got so
far. See the pretty links? Adam is amazed at her enthusiasm. Phyllis
retorts, "You have to be when you're working on a project like this."
In his office, Victor gets a call from Eric. Yes, BON is working with
the magazine, but he doesn't think the first issue will see the light
of day.
At the magazine, Jack has arrived. He meets Adam. Nick's half-brother,
huh. Adam recognizes Sharon as the former BON spokes model as Jack
says it would behoove Adam not to get to know Victor. And of Adam's
connecting the dots that Sharon was once married to Nick? Nick
confirms it.
Back home,
Gloria wants to know where the divorce papers are. Jeff says they're
being drawn up; "It's complicated." Gloria can't understand why he's
walking away. He is. He's setting her free and once the papers are
signed he'll be gone.
Sharon confirms too that she and Nick share a son. "We all get along,"
Jack boasts. Saying he's happy to see it all worked out, Adam adds
that Jack's reputation precedes him and leaves. Wow! Jack is
impressed. That Adam is one "ambitious" guy.
Sorry that she's being such a wet rag, Heather whines to Paul that she
can't get her act together. Paul's solution? Heather needs to move on;
take a vacation. Gosh, Paul must have read her mind. Heather says
she's thinking of leaving Genoa City.
Tracking Adam down in the NE break room, J.T. scolds him for coming
down so hard on Victoria. "You fighting her battles?" Adam fires back.
Well, Victoria has been through a lot, but Adam shouldn't let that
fool him. Victoria is a "strong" woman. Adam should get a clue, too.
Look around before you blow it," J.T. cautions.
Looking around to be sure he's alone, Jeff doesn't see Gloria
listening as he calls to ask if the papers are ready exactly as he
instructed. They are, and will be sent over. Done with the call, Jeff
starts laughing all the way up the stairs.
Unable to locate Victoria, Nick calls J.T. to tell him to tell
Victoria that he wants her to join him and Phyllis and Adam for dinner
at the AC.
In Victoria's office, Adam apologizes to her and leaves. Snapping,
Victoria asks J.T. if he said something to Adam. Well, don't do it
again. Dinner tonight? No! Oh alright. Adam did apologize and must
therefore must be given "a chance".
Coming home, Jack and Sharon, with the clock, call out for Jeff and
Gloria. Getting no response, they look around for a place to put the
clock and decide on the desk when Sharon quips that they're "spying on
spies" and will get the evidence they need to get rid of their
unwanted roomies. And there they are! Jeff and Gloria learn that
Sharon and Jack are planning to redecorate the entire house to look
like a cross between Korean and Chinese. Sharon goes so far as to
suggest they get a goat; Gloria could milk it. Well, this pissed
Gloria off. Jeff laughs, but Gloria vows to fight back.
