Are you thinking, why sure, it makes sense that the "county" containing the city of Genoa would step in to seize control of a comatose kid named Summer Newman. Bet the taxpayers enjoy footing that bill. Crazy too was Nikki Newman sputtering about broken families when she's done her share of the breaking.

You almost have to feel sorry for the district attorney. For all Heather Stevens did to snatch a kid away from its parents, all Victor Newman had to do was spread some money around and in less than an hour the grandparents had custody. And did I hear right? An at risk kid will be allowed anywhere near a convict named Adam Wilson? Victor's gonna give Summer one of those million dollar horses? You mean Summer's daddy hasn't already done that? What has Nick Newman been doing all this time? Oh, that's right, putting his hot dog into Sharon CNA's bun.

Then again, with the city unable to secure its police department evidence room, perhaps in some distorted way it makes sense like it does for Nina Webster to keep going back to that empty grave. Nina, honey, get a grip. Your husband was never in the grave. Had you bothered to pay your respects even once in all the years since you might have known that before now.

Gotta love the cops in this city too, when evidence is stolen they know to send they very best detective over to the Bada Bing, um, Jitter Joint to ask the local hoods, did you do it? Did the silver chipmunk do it? C'mon, you can tell the nice policeman. If they don't, one or all may be asked to take a lie detector test like at this point Daniel Romalotti would be dumb enough to do. Oops, almost forgot. He is dumb enough to need to be told by the chipmunk to take a lawyer along. Oh, and please, would somebody please tell these idiots it's not a matter of having something to hide. It's allowing the Gestapo to entrap you, and it will. Nevertheless, with no lawyer present that I could determine, with Michael Baldwin telling a comatose kid that his son, Fen-Fen, is thinking about her, Daniel took and passed the test.
