Bad enough Nick and Phyllis Newman keep telling their comatose kid to "wake up" and go to God only when they want something, now that useless slug Nick is telling Summer Newman that it's almost time for fireworks and she better damn well be up and about for that. Given the miracles we've seen in this city Summer probably will be good as new in an hour or two, but with the state of the environment, with the dangers fireworks pose, who but a unintelligent ape would suggest to a child that there's anything good about fireworks and that Summer is "a big brave girl" who shouldn't be afraid of fireworks or anything else for that matter.

Same goes for ape lady Phyllis with the added spectacle of saying God is punishing her for all the wrong she's done in life; so much wrong Moses couldn't find enough stone tablets to write it all on. And so, if that's the case, and it is, why does Phyllis keep doing bad things? Naturally, Nick was there to assure Phyllis she's an "amazing" mother which was like they'd changed scripts because if it's not Nick telling some woman she's amazing, it's Phyllis saying he's an amazing father, or Jack Abbott telling Nick's ex wife she's amazing when it wasn't so long ago Nick was telling Sharon the same thing except this week he's telling Phyllis he couldn't have asked for a better mother for his child which is really Jack's child only Jack doesn't know it.

Checking his watch, it was time for Nick to go back to the only church he's ever stepped foot in. GHM's chapel of hate where he blames God for trying to take Summer, already took the very dead Cassie Newman, and damn you to Hell you ain't getting Summer.

As expected, now there's Noah Newman asking why yet another family member is facing another crisis. Seems just the other day it was Noah near death and he too is wondering why Summer won't "wake up". Because she's in a coma you dumb shit.
