Just when you were maybe thinking you've heard every
moronic thing ever said in Genoa City, just when no
moron could top Traci Abbott Connelly's incessant
bawling, along comes all-purpose attorney Michael
Baldwin to ask the ailing Victor Newman how he's
feeling. Jesus! How you think he's feeling? He's
been shot three times in the heart and not much more
than an hour ago came out of surgery. Add to that he
needs a new heart. How you think he's feeling? Were
you expecting the great man to say "it only hurts
when I laugh"?
Were you stunned when he asked for a chocolate
milkshake? Not that it matters at this point,
but would any doctor have approved this no matter
that his heart is on its last leg? Was the old man
encouraged by Michael's report that not much more
than a hour after getting on the list of those in
need of a heart he'd been "bumped" up due to his
"deteriorating" condition? What a freaking good deal
that former wife Nikki Newman, hovering over her man
in lieu of wife Ashley Newman, who had more
important things to do, learned about something
called a "designated donor". Rushing down the hall
where a donor heart just happened to be ready for
harvesting, it's a wonder she didn't grab a scalpel
in the event the Abbott family was prepared to hand
over the heart of Colleen Carlton. "We're planning a
barbeque later at the mansion so please leave the
liver for us," family members did not say.
Another thing said so blasphemous God should have
struck her dead, was Victoria Hellstrom's assertion
that once Victor gets a new heart, and he will,
he'll have a "come to Jesus moment". This from an
adulterous slut and her Neanderthal brother Nick,
who in a house of God had the gall to say that his
father is always playing God and messing with
people's lives which is to say Nick is the
straight-shooting choir boy, who never did anything
wrong and thought it normal that the priest made him
feel good "down there".
Are you also wondering how that "designated donor"
deal works? Is it like being a designated driver?
Gollly gee, seems DD is a legal term. Before she
died, all Colleen would have done was to designate
who would get her heart. Her eyes could have gone to
Adam Wilson, but you won't be seeing Adam with hat
in hand asking for them. Too bad Lily Winters Ashby
hasn't heard about this DD thing or she'd be asking
for Colleen's hair. That's the key. You gotta ask
which is what Nikki Newman has done on behalf of the
mustache once it was determined that no matter how
Victor got moved up on the organ donor recipient
list, there are plenty of other people ahead of him.
