Hmm, what was the holiday? The special event? Did someone in the Fisher/Bardwell family die? For what reason was the city's most popular coffee shop closed on Monday to the general public? Is this any way to run a business? That the family was seen inside the JJ that day, did it have anything to do with the fact these people, owner Kevin Fisher, his brain cancerous wife Jana, and mommy dearest crime boss Gloria Bardwell were discussing their latest criminal act? The painting they collectively swiped a few days from a Detroit bank is already a wanted item belonging to a museum which is apparently offering a $25,000 reward for the safe return of a work of art purported to be worth millions.

That's the problem with rewards. Cheep bastard owners want their valuable goods returned but aren't willing to cough up near enough in finder fees. Low-level thugs like Gloria plot and scheme and get away with an array of crimes, they whine about being poor and having to use payphones and what do they do? They close their only legitimate source of income. They do take phone calls, however. From the likes of Traci Abbott Connelly who informed punk hoodlum Daniel Romalotti that Colleen Carlton has been removed from life support. And Daniel needed to know this - why?

Good question, because Daniel was too busy scheming with Gloria and the others to visit the now dead Colleen while Traci was having in denial bawling fits. And when Gloria got the news she had the gall to tell Traci that the Abbott/Connelly family is in her "prayers"? When has Gloria ever prayed? In a pretentious act of concern for the dead, the hoods, sans Gloria, beat a path to the God Have Mercy Medical Center.

First up with their heartless felt sympathy, Daniel thanked the dead body for kicking his ass when it needed kicking. Not that it did any good, he's still a cheap thug. Down the hall, in the chapel, Abby Carlton Newman and Billy Abbott questioned why people they love die. Why? Because the people you people love are always doing dumb shit! They're helping crazy women or falling out of canoes into calm ponds and being a Navy SEAL cannot save them. They have uncles who give a few puffs of CPR air and then leave them while they argue with the crazies. Abby got it right when she said it would have been better not to have known the people because, as insane as it is, with friends and family like this who needs enemies?
