Any chance that after the death of Colleen Carlton word will spread to stay away from the Abbott cabin up at State Park #666? You can almost hear park rangers telling visitors, "If you go anywhere near the Abbott cabin you do so at your own risk. Signing this waiver acknowledges that you've been warned. We don't like it anymore than you do, but the last three times one of those Abbotts or Carltons or Newmans have come up here there's been bad trouble. Two of them died in the same pond. Same last name too. Ain't that something? You didn't hear? It was in all the papers. No, really. Pinebluff Florida too. This is Genoa City dude. What happens here makes all the papers. I'm serious."

Camp Cowabunga nearby, imagine boy scouts sitting around a campfire, eating marshmallows and listening to ghost stories of how Colleen drown in the same pond as her father. How Colleen paid her one and only friend a visit as she lay dying and at the same time her uncle stood by arguing with a crazy woman instead of performing CPR, which by some miracle wasn't needed as paramedics arrived in time to take Colleen to the God Have Mercy Medical Center where she was later officially pronounced brain-dead, which of course she had been since birth. Spooky enough, the story could be told too of how the crazy woman later shot the great Victor Newman in the chest three times just like she'd shot Jack Abbott twenty years earlier.

For all the blame placed on Victor for everything wrong in the world, that Jack let his niece die won't enter Jack's empty head. He has bemoaned the fact that he should have "protected" Colleen, but from what? The Bogey Man? Wasn't Colleen a big girl? For her age maybe, mother Traci Connelly did say that Colleen was a "baby". Traci demanded others, including a glorified security guard and a clueless private eye, save her baby girl, but what did Traci do besides sit around on her fat ass? Did she once leave the Abbott mansion? Go anywhere near the camp grounds?
