Now that Ashley Newman has told her husband that she
ran down the true love of his life, it would be
funny to look at the puffy hype associated with the
idiocy because if nothing else the people and events
in Genoa City are always good for a few laughs.
"Ashley can't live with this secret any longer. She
feels so guilt-ridden and wants Victor to know the
truth," said Eileen Davidson of the character's
decision.
Anywhere else, the truth would set Ashley free. But
not in Sodom and Gomorraville. There has to be the
step-son, Adam Wilson telling Ashley that the truth
will get her ass locked up in the Farm Funny. Is
there a problem? Isn't the FF just the swankiest
place you ever did see? So what if Ashley has her
baby there? Not that she will, the crazy bitch isn't
pregnant and yet nobody has questioned this? Not
even Victor Newman who is supposedly putting the
pork to Ashley. Pouring her black heart out, Ashley
told the great man she may have run Nikki Newman
down.
"It's a very emotional scene. Ashley says she knows
everybody is worried about Nikki and she knows what
happened to her," explains Davidson.
WTF? Everyone is worried about Nikki? Does that
explain why son-in-law J.T. Hellstrom can't be
bothered to get off his ass and go looking for her?
Aware that Nikki hasn't contacted him recently,
Victor hasn't a team of private eyes out searching?
He has no strings with the FBI or Homeland Security?
Then as you'd expect, as they always do, Ashley said
she never meant to hurt anyone. It's like when they
cheat. It was only sex, so what's the problem? Why,
it's Ashley. She feels bad that she may have killed
someone Victor loves. Oh please! She's already
killed two babies, what's one adult even if it
belongs to Victor? And that's what, if anything,
Nikki is to Victor; a possession.
After the "dramatic" confession, Ashley is floored
that Victor ain't buying her yarn. "That just
devastates Ashley," said Davidson. Oh yes, more
devastation. More of Ashley becoming "vulnerable and
withdrawn" and going "inside herself a little deeper
because she really feels she doesn't know who to
trust anymore. She doesn't trust anybody."
Well, shit! Welcome to Genoa City!
