First, I must address the email asking about Jack
Abbott's assertion that Victor Newman caused Jack's
then wife Nikki to fall down a flight of stairs and
lose his baby. You know, so many GC residents have
fallen down the stairs and lost babies, I can't keep
track of them all. The next time I'm checking the
archives, if I come across the aforementioned event,
I'll report back to you. I think the point Jack was
trying to make last week is that Victor is to blame
for all his failures.
When you analyze this it's funny because Jack seems
to have more money than he'll ever be able to spend,
he lives in a mansion, albeit with freaks like the
Bardwells out in the pool house, or was being
remodeled "west-wing", the hasn't been seen there
that I know of since she moved in Colleen Carlton,
who Jack said today was "a joy" to have around, his
recycled Newman wife Sharon and her gay oriented
son, and yet Jack is never happy. He always wants
more, including that never-ending "legacy" called
Jabot Cosmetics with its penny stock bordering on
becoming the next Washington Mutual failure.
We know that to accomplish his goal Billy Abbott
will become Jack's "inside" man at Jabot and that
Billy won't have a problem finding a job there
because his mother is CEO of Jabot's parent company.
Despite that he's easily bored if he stays in one
place too long, Billy will, for the sake of his dead
grandpa and the family legacy, do what he can to
shift Jabot's balance of power and lock horns with
his hasn't met yet half-brother Cane Ashby and
probably fall for Cane's girl, Lilly Winters.
Speaking of Cane, are you wondering why a failing
company would at this time launch an entire new line
of toxic chemicals? Does this mean Lily will be the
"fresh face" of Puky Poison, or whatever the
hell the new line will be called? How about naming
it Tuvia or Safra or sending Lily to
Japan in search of magic orchids?
It's true that Victor outsmarted his diaper-wearing
adult children, but I'm still pissed that Nick
Newman and Victoria Hellstrom considered their daddy
a "danger to himself". If there's a danger, it's
that Nick and Victoria are a threat to society. That
these bozos hacked they want only "what's best" for
Victor made my skin crawl. Name one good thing about
being committed against ones will in a mental
institution where nurse Ratchet's inject drugs into
their veins? Granted, Victor's grief has turned into
a cuckoo for Coca Puffs event, but leave the old
fart alone. Stop whining that daddy didn't read your
letter; his wife just died for crying out loud!
Going into week #4 following my wife's death, I may
be biased. I have learned from this experience that
the grieving are expected to get over their grief in
about seven days. Calling the local hospital billing
office to inform them that Gail is dead, spent our
life savings on medical care and left nothing to pay
off her bill, the hospital collection agent said,
"So?"
So dig up her grave and she'll still be dead.
