After yesterday, are you starting to love Eden
Baldwin? Sure, she's a young and dumb and angry
teenager, but she's got Genoa City pegged and for
that she deserves a gold star. Taken to the Jitter
Joint by her now legal guardian Lauren Baldwin, whom
I'm not sure signed the legal papers that hubby
Michael did, but presumably is as equally
responsible for the kid, Eden was introduced to the
first unstable GC teen Lauren could find.
Thanks to a teacher's meeting day in the middle of
the week a couple weeks after school had begun
following summer break, Noah Newman had the day off
and nothing better to do than hang at a coffee shop.
Called over, Noah was happy to act as a buffer for
Lauren, an old hag he doesn't know that well. Her
phone conveniently ringing, Lauren left Noah alone
to tell Eden how he once was a spoiled rich kid who
went to the private school, but had since started
rubbing elbows with the commoners and if Eden wanted
he'd be happy to help her meet new friends at the
lowly public school.
Without getting into who exactly Noah's friends are,
his beer-drinking buds who went to the Newman
Ponderosa with him not seen since, and Noah
generally sucking around the older Daniel Romalotti,
Eden must have sensed something queer about Noah.
She told him she wouldn't be staying in "loser" town
Genoa City, she had no intention of going to "loser"
school Genoa City High, and especially not with a
"loser" like Noah.
Upset, Noah called Eden a "psycho bitch from Hell"
and then cried on mommy Sharon Abbott's shoulder
that Eden had put him down and was told by Sharon
that girl's like Eden are lonely, bitter, and
insecure. This coming from the so lonely and
insecure Sharon who allowed the creepy Cameron
Kirsten to mash her face into hamburger. Adding
injury to insult, when his mother and step-mommy
began hurling hate balls at each other, Noah became
so confused he said their bickering was "freaking"
him out and took off.
Oh Jesus, when your always verbally scratching each
others eyes out mothers and fathers are fighting
again, what's to be freaked out about? Eden was
right; Noah is a loser.
Sharon's a loser too, but then you knew that. Her
lying though his teeth husband in Mexico, but
telling her he's in Los Angeles, Sharon didn't catch
the clue. When someone sells "family stock" like
Jack Abbott said he was doing in L.A., one doesn't
go to the bank and doesn't have to be at the bank
when the doors first open. Okay, she's an idiot and
probably doesn't know what stock is, or that stock
can be bought and sold over the Internet, but Sharon
didn't question Jack. She didn't ask "what family
stock?" or "what family?"
