You mean Jack and sister Ashley Abbott have joint
Abbott stock? Does that mean sister Traci Abbott
Connelly wasn't required in L.A. because Traci is
the family black sheep, not semi-illegitimate
Ashley? Is there a difference between that stock and
the "blue chip" stock that Jack sold last week to
finance his trip to Mexico? Nor did Sharon think to
call Ashley. Had she, Sharon would have known that
Ashley was at Forester Creations International which
is different than Forest Creations National.
But, dumb shit that Sharon is, she later thought it
would be nice if she hopped a plane to join Jack in
California for some fun in the sun when Jack had
just told her he'd be back in Genoa City in two
shakes of a lamb's tail. But, Jack! Sharon can find
someone to take care of Noah.
Again, I must ask, when will Sharon stop babying
that kid? Noah is fifteen. He doesn't need anyone
watching him. If anyone needs watching, it's Fisher
the dog. Hell, Zapato the dog needs watching too. A
few days ago I threatened to blow a gasket if Victor
Newman abandoned Zapato again, and damn it, he did!
The great man fully intended to join dead wife
Sabrina in the Great Beyond; he apparently left
Zapato to fend for himself and I'm pissed.
With my wife having "passed" two weeks ago, and I
hate the term passed because it implies that someone
simply passes to another world where no visitors are
allowed, I can't do what Victor did. I can't call
out to Gail and have her appear as white light say,
"You've come for me. I've been waiting. Take my
hand. Why won't you take my hand?"
For us common folk there is no dead person refusing
to take us away from this crazy world before our
time. The only way we can escape is to overdose on
pills or blow our brains out, and if Victor does
this again I may do just that. I may scream, "Hey,
you old fart! Turn the damn music down! You trying
to wake the dead? We're trying to run a magazine up
here! You wanna die? Wait your turn! Go ask Nikki
Chow for some pills. Where's that gun you pointed at
her a while back? Use it, but don't be calling out
for the dead and then getting all pissy when they
refuse to take you before your time."
And if you were Nick Newman, wouldn't you want to do
something about that noise? You're shorthanded, your
wife is slacking off at the Jitter Joint, there's no
staff to speak of, phones are ringing off the hook,
and the walls of your greatest fashion magazine in
the whole wide world are so thin you can hear when
someone cuts a fart downstairs?
One more thing. When Nick called for an ambulance,
when he hung up the phone without saying anything,
was there an immediate callback? Big city that it
is, Genoa City doesn't have an enhanced 911 system?
Haven't you dialed 911 by mistake, hung up, and have
them call right back to ask if you have an
emergency?
Speaking of ass wipes, what is Adam Wilson doing in
Mexico? Didn't Jack say he couldn't leave the
jurisdiction because Adam is facing trespassing
charges? The court didn't consider Adam a flight
risk? Will Adam get back in time to avoid being
charged with jumping bail? Will Jack put the bail
revocation on his expense account? How lucky for
Jack that the little Mexican girl was out of school
on this day too? How amazing that the girl took Jack
and Adam to the hut where Victor camped out
following the shipwreck and found the journal Victor
left behind?
You gotta love too that the Mexican Police use
disposable cameras to take photos of dead people.
Yes friends, in all the confusion, while Victor had
thought to take notes, he didn't think to take the
journal with him. Did you stifle a scream when Jack
told the Mexican police official that he'd come all
the way from Genoa City and was writing a story
about the wreck and had with him his press
credentials? How exactly does that work? After
throwing together a magazine you go to City Hall and
get a press pass? Do Nick and Phyllis have passes
too? What about Sharon? As someone who was once a
member or the working press, I can tell you it ain't
that easy getting an official press pass. Mine came
from the Honolulu Police Department and they weren't
impressed that I worked for the #1 top-40 radio
station as a news reporter. What would have
impressed the HPD was had I worked for the
Associated Press or the local newspaper.
