If it hadn't been that I was in bizarro-world with
the rest of the crazies, I might have thought that a
rich woman like Katherine Sterling Chancellor would
have better security at her sprawling mausoleum.
When living there now Chloe Mitchell dragged a bum
in off the street, despite that 'Rocko' is more
normal than any of the mausoleum residents, you
would have thought that to get him out all Katherine
would have to do was call security. If she no longer
employs protection, surely a call to the police
would have resulted with the blaring of sirens
before she hung up the phone.
But no. Katherine told Rocko to get out and he gave
her the finger. Rocko was, apparently, waiting for
Chloe's call. "Hi Rocky! Rocko? Whatever. I caught the father of my
baby cheating on me. Could you meet me at the
Chancellor Mausoleum? I want to make Cane Ashby
jealous."
Silly boy that he is, upon seeing Rocko at the
mausoleum, Cane could only ask who Rocko is. As
Chloe swapped spit with Rocko it never occurred to
Cane that Rocko could be the father of her baby.
Cane can't recall either that the DNA test did not
prove by a preponderance of the evidence that he's
the father. And yet there must be this dog and pony
show. The summoning of - formerly knocked up by Cane
- Lily Winters to antagonize the situation as the
parties were told not to leave the mausoleum until
some ground rules were laid pertaining to the "open
marriage" between Cane and Chloe. It's a damn wonder
they didn't flip a coin. Heads, Chloe wins, tails,
Cane loses, because there's no doubt he's a loser.
Anyone who would say today, as Cane did, that he's
been searching his "entire" life for Lily, is a
loser. Anyone who would want Lily is a loser,
period. Like Daniel Romalotti, Lily is no catch.
That she's an unstable babe in the woods was
evidenced today by her calling one and only female
friend Colleen Carlton, who it should be noted is so
hot for her friend's former husband she went to
Daniel's new digs and offered up her body for sex.
Lily, so concerned that the college Fall semester
has started she couldn't go to New York with
Colleen, left a message late today that now she can
go.
She can because Lily has changed her mind about
Chloe. Moments ago Chloe was a crazy lying bitch who
posed a danger to Cane and his baby. A baby that
deserves much better for a mother than Chloe, but
it's okay that the child have a father like mister
can't remember who he's screwed Cane. Then, in the
blink of an eye Lily flip-flopped once Chloe had, as
part of the show, sniveled that unlike so many
babies hers will be wanted and loved.
Lily was moved. Now the baby deserves Cane more than
Lily does. He must "focus" on the baby, forget about
her, and thank God Katherine summoned her or else
she wouldn't have had the epiphany and Cane might
still think she meant what she said only an hour ago
about moving on with him.
Incredible as the show was, once it was over nothing
had really changed. It all came down to Cane. Will
he stay with Chloe? Will he become a deadbeat dad,
and will any of what's happening impact Jabot stock?
