Speaking of old people, those who may have been
worried Victor Newman will take old, and very fat,
Nikki Chow back, rejoice! Victor's miraculous return
to life has shaken his family and business to the
core, but - brace yourself again - Victor is a
"changed" man. Ain't that how it always is? Didn't
crime spree lunatic Kevin Fisher change? Didn't
Ouija board consultant Jana Fisher change? Victor
isn't ready for love. He'd be much happier
masturbating than having sex with Nikki and so she's
gonna be, you'll pardon the term, shit out of luck.
Oh, Victor, my Victor. I can't go on if living is
without you. You didn't mean it when you wished me
dead. I was such a fool for marrying David Chow and
back-biting your ass whenever I could. Please take
me back so we can breakup again and my idiot
daughter can whine how she so wants us back
together. What? After all I did to find you? You're
kicking my fat ass out of your life? Well, we'll
just see about that. I'll start drinking and popping
pills again. You'll come around. You always do.
However, before that happens, before Victor asks
Nikki to go along with the ruse that he's dead and
she refuses, Victor has other matters to attend to,
like maybe asking his diaper-wearing children why
they didn't contest his will. They could have tied
it up in probate for years, but no. Nick Newman and
Victoria rolled over; they didn't even suggest to
family lawyer Michael Baldwin that he do something
legally, or illegally, to stop VAN from taking over
the Newman Empire.
The best Nick could so was bitch and moan again that
he and his family will have to move off the
Ponderosa even though VAN didn't tell him he'd have
to move, although it would be nice if VAN would
start charging rent. Isn't it funny that for a woman
charging her own son rent, Phyllis Newman is happy
to live rent-free albeit in a manure-stinking tack
room.
The will already read, the hilarious "rare book
collection" going to Ashley Abbott, there may not be
any contention, but for sure Victor is going to make
his adult children pay. Those who behaved the way he
would have wanted while he was missing will
be rewarded. Those who didn't will be punished.
Naughty, naughty boy! You bend over my knee right
now young man! Adam, you've needed a good spanking
since the day you were born. Let's not forget that
was roughly ten years ago. This is gonna hurt me
more than it does you. What's that? You're going to
team up with Jack Abbott to get even with me? WHACK!
After the will was read, you knew that was coming.
Since Jack claims to have gone to Harvard like VAN
did, and has always hated Victor, he and Adam shook
hands. If Adam needs any help, just let 'ole smilin'
Jack know.
What are we to conclude from this? That
we could be witnessing in the daze ahead nothing more
than the same plots with different people and
similar outcomes. In the Newman case, it's the same
plot and generally the same people not counting a
return somewhere in the daze of Sabrina Newman as a
ghost.
