So Victor Newman is leaving town for parts unknown where he'll check himself into a "cardiac rehab" center. He actually said that, so it must be true. No doubt said center will be one of those luxury resorts and it's strange that no such resort can be found in Genoa City what with its luxurious mental institutions and athletic clubs. Speaking of which, didn't take the great man long to get a suite at the Athletic Supporter Hotel did it? Bet it's just a few doors away from Nikki Newman's suite too. That Victor must leave town for rehab is weird considering he looks to be doing just fine mere days after getting a new heart. Apparently the God Have Mercy Medical Center ain't all it's cracked up to be. Heart transplants performed in about an hour, no need for sterile room confinement following same, Victor's back to conducting business as usual then oops - better get some rehab and damn the luck no rehab centers in this town.

As for who will run the empire while he's gone, Victor said this week that Newman Enterprises is in good hands albeit dirty ones which we've learned will become too many chiefs and not enough Indians now that son Adam Wilson has been given more power at the company. Jeez, it was only last week Victor told Adam he'd have to start out at the bottom of the totem pole and a week later Adam will be on a par with, who? Piano teeth son Nick and combat boot-wearing man-like daughter Victoria Hellstrom. Damn, if the SEC should be worried about anything it's that so many incompetents are running NE.

Are you thinking too that if you're Adam you don't go to the corporate attorney asking that he break the law? With all his connections, doesn't Adam know that PI Paul Williams is the go to guy when it comes to finding out who charged what on their credit cards? Okay, so Adam asked all-purpose attorney Michael Baldwin to break privacy laws, it's the same smell because Michael has corporate accounts like NE. If you believe that, you'll believe that Adam has a friend at the FCC when last week Adam whined about not having any friends. You might think too that Adam meant the SEC, but two sources told your trusty Daze reporter he said FCC which is odd because the FCC is connected to the SEC how exactly? It wouldn't make much sense, but then nothing happening in Genoa City these days make much sense.
