Would it be safe to say that Nelson Branco is gay? Not just gay, but flaming gay? It's a question. Any man, and with the name Nelson you assume it's a man, who refers to another man as a "sexy bastard" could raise some eyebrows among the straight crowd. Not that there's anything wrong with true love between two men, it's that the Canadian TV Guide soap bubble boy is a prime example of the sheep mentality. You know, those who don't know the difference between a good soap opera and a bad one; those who think that the shit viewers of all types are being fed is the next best thing to Swine Flu vaccine. Branco writes that "future Emmy winner Michael Muhney is knocking it out of the park!" and that Y&R executive producer Paul Rauch agrees when he says of Muhney "really cares about the material and the show, so he'll enjoy a very long and prosperous future on our show."

Therein lies the operative word: prosperous. So long as there's money to be made, Muhney could give a shit about the material. He wants the paycheck. Obviously he depends on there being no shortage of sheep without whom he might have to get a real job.

Raunchy, um, Rauch finds the dialog compelling. For example, "Isn't it ironic that the very fate Adam's mother, Hope, feared is happening to her son despite her moving him out of Victor's universe as a child? Yet conversely, his other children, Victoria, Nick, and Abby are nothing like their father even though they grew up with the control freak? Brilliant. Expect some amazing performances from Muhney," he said.

Is Rauch smelling his own shit? Nick, Victoria and Abby are exactly like Victor. It's hard to tell them apart. Victoria sleeps around, Nick sleeps around, and Abby will too when she's old enough. The irony is that in real life there are towns and cities where some women don't like sex. But not in Genoa City. Here, everyone likes sex and with as many partners as possible. Sharon Collins is another example. How many men has she slept with? How many babies lost?

And if Adam being at the psychopath level weren't bad enough, Rauch says, "Now that the fans have adjusted to the sudden and abrupt recast, we're taking Adam and Michael to the next level in the next few months." Jesus! What level might that be? The Devil reincarnate?
