"This is an outrage!" said some not-really-outraged
GCN reader of Ashley Newman's faked baby delivery
and the prolonged bawling over the death of Colleen
Carlton the latter of which is significant because
by this time you read this there won't be any signs
of grief coming from the pretending to grieve
bereaved. Oh sure, they put on a good act for a few
hours, but in Genoa City the rich anyway, don't know
what it means to grieve. Near death herself
Katherine Chancellor, wandering the halls of the God
Have Mercy Medical Center, popped into the near
capacity little chapel and hearing Billy Abbott
backbiting the Newman family suggested that instead
of bitching he grieve.
"But grandma, I don't know how to grieve," Billy did
not say as he broke down bawling and sniveling over
how Colleen, or "see see" as he likes to say, didn't
deserve to die.
Beyond the fact that as a rule nobody deserves to
die, except for the briefest of time Billy knew
Colleen, what does Billy know of Colleen that he
gets to call her "see see" and who the hell would
call her that? Who with the name would want to be
called that? What does see see stand for? Colleen
Carlton, her biological name, of Colleen Connelly
the name her mother put on a legal document?
For all the family members puking bile about what a
"good heart" Colleen had, and how giving her heart
to Victor Newman is what she would have wanted, how
do they know it's what Colleen would have wanted?
Before her death Colleen hated Victor. She would
have plugged him three times given the chance. And
mother Traci Connelly, with her incessant river of
tears ain't much better. In fact, it's a good bet
Colleen learned how to hate from Traci.
Let's roll the video back to this GCN report dated
December 17, 2002 and review just one day in the
life of these two creeps.
The Devil's Workshop Gets a New Saw
Flowers struggled to survive and animals hunkered
down in caves as the cold human soul inside troubled
teen Colleen Carlton lashed out Monday at the
biological father she had only hours previously come
to be closer to than at any time in modern history.
Ranting that Brad Carlton had ratted her out, a
bitter Colleen threatened again that it was her way
or the highway. Wherever hunkmonkey J.T. Hellstrom
goes - she goes. And if the adults don't like it
she'll run away and never come back and hold her
breath until she turns blue and maybe all those
things at the same time until she dies.
His parental responsibility totally sucked out, Brad
gave in. Hellstrom had permission to suck around his
jail bait daughter because to send him far away
would only make his daughter rebel and end up back
at the detention center where her brain would be
washed with cultish mind-control until Hellstrom
snuck into the joint again using Billy Abbott's ID
card to whisk Colleen away.
