Commentary by Brent Kellogg

October 2, 2009

This being Friday, as the madness in Genoa City remains what it's been for a good two weeks, shall we ponder for a moment what should be done with the remainder of Colleen Carlton's body parts? I know, given a choice you wouldn't want anything from Colleen's body, especially her brain which as you know would fit inside a thimble and there'd still be room for a turkey. So then, while Traci Abbott Connelly has the amazing right to dedicate her daughter's body parts to her friends and anyone willing to beg, why stop with giving Colleen's heart to Victor Newman? Think of the others in need.

There's Sharon Collins who is in desperate need of a brain. So Colleen's is tiny, it's better than no brain at all which is Sharon's present dilemma. There's Michael Baldwin who at his age, the drawn look on his face of late making him look sickly, probably could use a kidney to replace the one he gave years ago to washed up rock star Danny Romalotti. We've already noted Adam Wilson needs a pair of eyes, and Lily Winters Ashby could use Colleen's hair to have a wig made. Talk about good luck charms, can't you see Lily running around squealing how she got Colleen's hair? Lord have mercy.

As for who Colleen's liver should go to it's a toss up. Katherine Chancellor or Nikki Newman. Colleen's breasts could go to Daniel Romalotti to kick start his transition to a female. If male to female gender change is against the law in this city, not that Daniel obeys the law, Amber Moore could always seek a court order claiming she deserves Colleen's breasts for when she returns to her life as a porn queen. Last but not least, Jana Fisher is in bad need of some dental work and therefore should get Colleen's teeth.

Least is the nerve Doc Taylor needs so that he can tell Adam that he doesn't have any control over him. Adam can't make him do anything he doesn't want to do, and yet the dumb doctor doesn't have the nerve to get away from Mr. Psychopath. What made the doc agree to stick around after delivering Sharon's baby must have been those flashing lock down lights. Not that you've ever been in a nut house, did you ever see such a thing? Is this Star Trek or something where the Enterprise is on red alert? Why were the lights flashing once the all-clear had sounded? Who besides the two patients, Adam and Taylor, and perhaps the lonely nurse with bad ears would have seen the lights? Not that she'd be qualified, that nurse might want to ask for Colleen's ears.
