We understand this - right? All the Abbotts must do, Traci Abbott Connelly actually, is say the word and Victor Newman gets the heart still beating inside Colleen Carlton's lifeless body. So why then are Billy Abbott, and his creepy brother, wasting so much time bickering over something they have no control? Because this is the norm in Genoa City? Because hate must never be cast aside in favor of just once the slightest act of love? The biggest bastard since Jack Abbott, Billy gets to call the kettle black? The cretin once so concerned about his crazy sister he snatched Ashley Newman from the Newman Ponderosa is suddenly more concerned about the dead Colleen, the niece he calls "see see"? What we see is the double-standard applied again as it always is. Billy calling Victor a "bastard", and yet seemingly unaware of Jack's role in Colleen's death, he hasn't noticed that just down the hall Ashley, reportedly pregnant and crazy, is not at her dying husband's side.

It was heartily nice of the Newman children to check in on daddy even if they didn't ask where siblings Adam Wilson or Abby Carlton Newman were. Thought to have gone out to fetch a milkshake for her pa, Victor didn't seem to notice Abby was taking her sweet-ass time coming back and made no mention of Adam, who may have liked participating in Victor's last wish that the kiddies say what they've always wanted to say but were too afraid. Talk about strange, how fitting for someone on their death bed? Okay folks, I could be dead five minutes from now so here's your big chance. Tell me why you really hate me.

So it was that daughter Victoria Newman Hellstrom recalled how daddy once said she was so much like him. Not a good thing to say when you've been going around cheating on your husband. On the other hand, son Nick praised Victor as an "amazing" man when Summer Newman was in a coma. Not clear exactly what the hell that remark was all about, what was it Victor did that was amazing? He "prays" every day, or he brought the crazy Patty Williams to town who caused Summer to go into a coma. Yeah, that is amazing, but not as amazing as former wife Nikki Newman playing the "do you want a baby growing up without its father" card.
