The burning question held over from last week: Has
the FBI or GCPD questioned PI Paul 'Clueless'
Williams about David Chow and why he didn't alert
law enforcement? If Walter Palin is wanted by the
FBI, and he is, wouldn't the fact that Clueless knew
he was in the city - but didn't come forward - be
called obstruction of justice - or something?
In a related matter, remember District Attorney
Dennis Elroy? He's the DA who fired Heather Stevens
for incompetence, and suddenly he's back now that
Heather has, or will, take partial credit for
solving the Kim Chee murder case. This is important
because with Nikki Chow about to resign as Jabot
Cosmetics CEO, there won't be any corporate law for
Heather to dabble in and she will "contemplate"
returning to the DA's office.
Let's hope that Elroy offers Heather the job because
otherwise it would be, what's the word, convoluted!
Okay, no matter how you slice it, it's convoluted.
Oh Heather sweetie. You just solved a murder case
nobody else could. How'd you like your old job back?
We can't pay what Jabot was paying, but you're not
in it for the money - are you?
Before Nikki is officially out the door, Jill Abbott
has named herself interim CEO because word that
David was a compulsive gambler got out and Jabot
stock dropped 20-points. Thinking he'd be named CEO,
lackey Brad Carlton got all bent apparently because
he thinks he's Katherine Chancellor's son. Why else
would he think the position should be his? Could it
be that if Jill and Brad aren't in-fighting it would
make it harder for Gloria Bardwell to seize Jabot?
To avoid shareholder panic, Jill called a press
conference, and like little sheep the Press showed
up only to be told there would be no questions, that
Jabot is a strong company, that prayers and
condolences go out to CEO Chow for the lost of her
gambling husband, now thank you very much please
leave.
As for Nikki, already out of the God Have Mercy
Medical Center and rushed to her daughter's
outhouse, she just couldn't imagine how the Press
found out about David and this was after Paul spun
his murder theory story for her again. Nikki had no
idea it was Adam Wilson who blew the whistle just as
she'd never suspect having the competition hanging
around Jabot might pick up a few of the many secrets
floating around there.
So sure that Victor Newman would want him running
the empire, Adam made the necessary transfer of
power including the dispatch of #2 man Neil Winters
to New York where Winters was expected to launch an
investigation into the whereabouts of Skye Lockhart.
The only good thing Neil has done recently, he
reminded Adam who works for who. Still, the point to
be made is that Adam felt he had Victor's confidence
to run the company, but when asked why he hasn't
been by the hospital, said he wasn't sure Victor
would want him there.
You don't need me telling you these are some of the
dumbest goddamned people on earth. And don't forget,
there's still the small matter of Katherine having
doubts that Jill is her daughter. Don't laugh. Four
years ago they went through all the trouble of
proving they're mother and daughter, they brought in
daddy Arthur Hendricks to prove it, but Katherine's
got a bug up her ass and so perhaps it's meant to be
that Jill will never get what is rightfully hers.
