It was my intent today to cover here some of things from yesterday I didn't get to, like Jeff Bardwell's quick trip to Korea and on the way back to Genoa City stopped in the Cayman Islands to set up an off-shore account for his wife, and when Gloria asked where the toxic skin cream was said he couldn't find his Korean girlfriend, but that he had time to swing by the Islands, Gloria didn't ask why he hadn't tried harder or how he could have hoped to find the woman in only two days when clearly the Korean knew the cream she swiped must have been valuable.

Nope, those minor details were flicked away like so much bellybutton lint when Jeff said his old girlfriend wouldn't be a problem, and that the once needed cream Gloria's son had demanded - before setting up a dummy corporation with which to buy Jabot stock without anyone finding out who owns the corporation - wouldn't be needed either because Jeff had done it himself.

So why didn't Jeff tell Gloria he had that talent before bringing Michael Baldwin in on the their latest scam? Would it have anything to do with the fact that Jeff has had the toxic cream all along and that this all new marriage they're celebrating is nothing more than a continuation of the bullshit we've grown so tired of? All this is as bad a Nick Newman puking that he's got to get out from under daddy's shadow and when given the chance hacks up a chunk of guilt and spits it at his father. By kicking him off the Ponderosa, Victor Newman is ripping away the only home Summer Newman has ever known.

Four paragraphs on, here's why I've got to skip over the past. What's to come is so much more mind numbing.

Tony Amanto, and there's some question as to the spelling of Amanto but who would care since he'll be gone when this is over, AKA Walter Palin, is suggesting to his Mob buds that a hit be put out on Angelo Serafini, AKA David Chow. It can't be though that David is taken out right away thus putting an end to the lame, how many times has it been done before, and how many creeps have been named Angelo in the past, let's all worry now that Nikki Chow has stepped in another big cow pie of nonsense

Lamebrain Paul Williams, and his trusty sidekick J.T. Hellstrom, must save Nikki although as of today Paul isn't sure whether Nikki is in danger. She might be, but they can't go tell her what they know because she might get snippy - or something. Plus, if they were to make any attempt to save to Nikki, as Victor said today he wanted done chop-chop because he's leaving for Paris, Paul said it could kill Nikki.

Despite being allowed to speak with an FBI "informant", knowing damn well that Amanto and Serafini are up to their eyeballs in Mob, Paul, trying to sound important, generally said that until the ball is over, the Hamilton kids have sung, and Nikki is safe he'll be "working around the clock". He did not say, J.T. didn't ask, Victor didn't either, and not even Paul's FBI connection asked if he's told the FBI that he's got a lead on one of the FBI's most wanted men.

Victor, with all his money and power and concern from a woman who has called him a "terrible father" and whoremaster at large, doesn't have the wherewithal or the vision to see that allowing Paul and J.T. to handle this dire situation is all wrong. Victor cannot show Nikki the evidence or call the FBI in and have them do it and put Nikki into protective custody. Victor cannot at least have his personal security Swillwater guarding her around the clock. It must be that he takes the word of a clueless PI that taking Nikki out of harm's way before she's actually in harm's way might kill her.
