Hmm, are you wondering why, on a sprawling ranch such that the Newman Ponderosa is, a dog would need to be walked? What the hell is up with that? Something for the crazy bitch Ashley Newman to do? And then she loses track of Zapato? You mean the dog isn't on a leash, or that perhaps Zapato was walking Ashley and let her loose hoping she'd run off never to be seen again? No matter, the great Victor Newman wasn't worried that the dog wouldn't come home on his own. Bet your ass, that if Fisher the dog is any example, Victor could give a shit if Zapato comes back and for damn sure never had him chipped. Just another dog run off, like his many wives.

And lo, what should Victor spy but Zapato looking lifeless, kinda like many of Victor's wives, and according to Billy Abbott, like his mother and for damn sure Sharon the Slut. C'mon, you know the deal. You can't make crap like this up. So what could be wrong with Zapato? Three guesses and the first two don't count. Think: Patty Williams. Any bets it wasn't?

How amazing was it that a vet happened to be handy and in need of getting Zapato to a pet hospital for the pooch had been exposed to an unknown toxin and Ashley wasn't suspect. Worse yet, Zapato is dead! Oh, the horror! The blame, as Ashley felt so bad and tomorrow will have forgotten there ever was a dog except for the one looking back at her in the mirror. But it gets better! Who could have done such a dastardly deed? Patty Williams? Why, of course. Only one thing to do then, beef up security! Holy shit! Doesn't Victor have an entire security team looking for Patty? How many times has security been enhanced and yet it's never enough, those villains always manage to find ways in.
