I realize I might be hallucinating, but could it be I have nothing to write about today? Has Genoa City become that boring and predicable? Have we milked the Useless Style Feud for all it's worth? Isn't it about time to shift over to the Jabot Cosmetics feud and watch with utter amazement as Jeff and Gloria Bardwell scheme to get Katherine Chancellor to sell enough shares that she won't, and her broker won't, notice that she's lost her 51% control?

The earlier report that Brad Carlton, so desperate to get control of Jabot, will happily give all that up for a chance to become CEO of Newman Enterprises is true and in fact Carlton accepted the position today without so much as giving notice to current employer Jabot. Yes friends, Brad just up and left. Idiot boy Victor Adam Newman hired him with so much as a Paul Williams background check.

The now dead Skye Lockhart, VAN's old lover, must never have told VAN that Brad was sucking gambling addict David Chow, the man who indirectly caused Skye's death, into poker parties. VAN mustn't have a clue that Brad once had the hots for Heather Stevens, VAN's latest flame, and thus the pairing together again of enemies to do battle perhaps this time with Brad the one to save Newman Enterprises.

When power broker Victor Newman returns from the dead, and he will, will his hands be tied? Is there something in Genoa City law that says once your death certificate has been issued, albeit it Spanish, once your will has been read, that's it? Can it be that you have to helplessly watch as your company is destroyed while lawyers work day and night finding a way to right the wrong?

With Genoa City short on lawyers, will Michael Baldwin be under contractual obligation to NE such that he cannot help Victor? Will it come in handy that having assistant D.A. Heather staying at his home make Victor realize he should never have ordered son VAN to keep her off the property? Apparently willed to him, will VAN grant daddy permission to stay on the Ponderosa until things are ironed out? Will VAN stop the remodeling project?

Oops, how silly of me to think VAN, or Heather, might remodel. With Chloe Mitchell remodeling Cane Ashby's home, with Gloria remodeling the Abbott mansion, I naturally assumed. Which reminds me: was the broken water pipe at the apartment where Chloe first lived, and subsequently moved into the campus flophouse, ever fixed? That must have been some pipe if weeks could pass without repair and Chloe could simply never return having wormed her way into Cane's home.
