I tell myself what's done is done. I tell myself
don't be a fool, it's easy when you play it cool. I
tell myself don't be a chump, who cares let him stay
away, that's when the phone rings and I jump. And as
I grab the phone I pray, let it please be him. Oh
dear God, it must be him, or I shall die. But it's not him
and then I die. After a while I'm myself again. I
pick the pieces off the floor. Put my heart on the
shelf again, he'll never hurt me anymore. I'm not a
puppet on a string. I'll find somebody else someday,
that's when the phone rings and once again I start
to pray. Let it please be him. Oh, dear God, it must
be him or I shall die.
Also singing today, It Hamilton! By way of a
recording, she was singing Bless the Beasts and the
Children but not before Cane Ashby arrived at her
impromptu going away party complete with going away
sign presumably constructed by Lily Winters and
brother Devon. "Mr. Cane" It would say twice as she
had to ask if he'd come to her party. No, fool. He
wasn't there. It was all your imagination! And good
God, Tyra Hamilton is going to New Hampshire with
the kid because It has never been alone before. Not
only did It say "Mr. Cane" twice, Tyra said that It
is "eleven" twice as if she'd regressed like Nate Hastings
did.
Bad enough that photos had to be taken so that
during the next "Family Day" they can ogle and
remember the good old days, It should meet Noah. He
can tell her there's no such thing as Family Day.
But then you might wonder who really is the child
here following Neil's heart-to-heart with Devon that
no matter where It goes, she'll always be his
sister. No shit? You need to spew such baby talk to
a college boy? When that boy is Devon, apparently,
because no sooner had It left but what he'd made a
major life-shattering decision. He's changing his
major to music, and he's changing it today!
While the subject is on parties that two people were
invited to, perhaps Katherine Chancellor is right to
think daughter Jill Abbott can't be trusted anymore.
After all, who throws an engagement party to a
shotgun wedding and when the parties elope change it
to a reception? Dear God, keep the damn marriage
quiet. Jill should be more concerned about why Cane isn't at the office. As new CEO, Cane has
spent more time begging Lily to wait for him to end
the sham with Chloe Mitchell than he has at Jabot.
Jill should also wonder why son Cane refuses to take
the Chancellor name. The reason she keeps the name
Abbott makes sense, but then perhaps Jill
understands that name changes don't always stick.
Adam Wilson changed his name to Victor Adam Newman
and everyone keeps calling him Adam including
Michael Baldwin, who this week referred to him as
"Mr. Wilson", and Adam didn't correct him because he
was so busy firing people including Karen Taylor
whom he should have asked, "Just what is it you do
here at Newman Enterprises?"
Speaking of NE, who wants to bet that while he's
been tossed out, Neil will be hanging around there
as if nothing as happened? And why is Neil spending
so much time with those magazine publishers? Doesn't
he have a jazz club to run? With Tyra gone who will
manage Indigo?
What's next? Heather Stevens discovering Paul
Williams isn't her biological father? There must be
a reason for Heather's low red blood cell count.
Christ, with so many people not knowing who their
parents/children are it's a wonder anyone in this
city would dare have a child.
