Turns out Michael was climbing Walton's Mountain.
Climbed it twice he did - at night. He had to. It
was the only way to avoid Lowell Baldwin, who was
convinced that a higher power had brought him and
Michael together. What else could explain why Kevin
and Jana Fisher would be married at the one place in
the world where Lowell was holed up while on the run
from the law? What could explain why Lowell would
ask if Lauren Baldwin had a photo of her son and
seeing it, Lowell would say, my what big eyes
Fen-Fen has? Why would Michael say that as a lawyer
he has an obligation to turn Lowell in, but later
say he wouldn't? Back in Genoa City, why would
Michael say he'll never see Lowell again when he
knows he will? Why, with a son suffering with an ear
infection, would the Baldwins head straight to
Newman Enterprises? So that Michael could recall
that long ago Victor Newman transferred ownership of
the Ponderosa main house to NE and this was the
break that bitch Victoria Hellstrom needed so she
can throw Victor Adam Newman off the ranch?
Speaking of which, I've only been in Kansas once and
seen miles and miles of desert-looking landscape,
but do oak trees grow in Kansas? Did Hopeless Adams
ever sit under an oak tree pondering her future?
When she died, did Adam really sit under the same
tree and think about his mother as a way to deal
with grief? Didn't he simply pack his crap and get
away from the farm as soon as possible?
There may be too something in the air, like sperm
spores belonging to VAN. What could explain why
Heather Stevens will collapse? The stress of being
low man on the DA's totem pole too much for her? The
thrill of taking credit for solving crimes she
didn't solve? Did she solve the Skye Lockhart
murder? Did VAN go to the funeral or notify her
family? Could Skye's chopped up body still be at the
morgue? Is VAN too busy looking for a new place to
live? Does Victoria Hellstrom have the power to kick
him out of his father's home? Will he please find a
way to kill that horrible bitch?
It's a minor detail, but is there a reason Chloe
Mitchell and Cane Ashby must obtain a marriage
license? Did the Fishers have one. Victor and
Sabrina Newman? David and Nikki Chow? Did Lauren
Baldwin ever check on her ear-infected son? Remember
there was a time Lauren wouldn't let that kid out of
her sight. And now she happily stashes him with the
neighbors while she treks across country? Doesn't
she know what happens to young boys left alone for
any length of time? If having the name Fenmore
doesn't kill him first, Fen-Fen Baldwin will be
hitting the sauce if Lauren doesn't watch out.
Forget how one of PI Paul Williams' contacts told
him today that mobster Walter Palin is known to
frequent a small fishing village in Mexico when the
heat is on, and it must be that Nikki Chow would
conclude that Victor is out to get Walter, how about
Paul saying "we better check it out" after coming by
the information? Golly, Paul. You think that would
be wise? You think that taking Nikki with you is
dangerous, but because she blames herself for
Victor's disappearance it's okay to take her along
and that darling daughter Victoria will let them use
the Newman jet because NE can write it off as a
business expense?
Dear IRS:
We understand the billion dollar business deduction
is excessive, but please allow it because the
founder of Newman Enterprises was out seeking
vigilante justice and we had find him before the
Mexican government did.
Finally, a correction. In Monday's daze I wrote that
Victor gave the "earrings" to the little drug mule.
There is only one earring. The other was lost. I
also may be wrong, but has Victor ever piloted a
boat before? Was that something he did at age ten?
When you rent a fishing boat, as Walter did today,
is it like Avis where you drive yourself, or don't
you either show proof that you are qualified to
operate a vessel or an operator comes with the boat
as in a charter? We've heard that Victor will calls
himself the "captain", but where did he get his
lessons? From little Nate Hastings? Remember when it
was thought that Dr. Olivia Winters young son, the
cousin Lily Winters never speaks of, went off to
tugboat school? Katherine has an old boat at the
bottom of Lake Genoa, but when has Victor ever set
foot on a boat much less get behind the wheel? And,
correct me if I'm wrong, do tuna run in Mexican
waters? Are they chicken of the sea?
