The search for Victor Newman saga have you bored already? Want something more than the answer to whether Cane Ashby will marry Chloe Mitchell for the unborn baby's sake, and she'll move in with him on the condition that she park her ass in a backroom, and like they'll lead separate lives? Tired of hearing Lily Winters say that regardless of what Cane has done she still loves him and always will? Feel like smacking orphan boy Devon Hamilton upside the head for saying he's sorry for telling Lily to trust Cane, that he knew all along Cane was "a dog", and that Cane has a "damn" baby to show for it? Wasn't Devon a "damn" baby"? Didn't Yolanda Hamilton damn him to a life on the street and if not for the generosity of two rich people he still might be living among the damned? Oops, take that back, he is living among the dammed.

And I'll be damned but what Neil Winters and Nikki Chow put their heads together and hatched a plan to save Newman Enterprises while Victor is away. Funny, for a woman who wanted to take NE down, suddenly Nikki's rallying the troops. She's enlisted the help of her can't stand Victor's guts Nick Newman and Victoria Hellstrom without whom she said the plan depended on.

The plan was to select Victoria as CEO. The man best suited for the job, Neil said he can run the day-to-day operations, but not the entire company. With Adam Wilson already in control of the company, Adam's takeover did not require Board of Directors approval. But to place Victoria in power did. And so an "emergency meeting" of the board was convened. It's not certain who sits on the board these days, but whoever does had no concern that Adam had taken control. The board did agree that a woman who stormed out of the company a few months ago should head it now and thus Victoria was crowned king.

Her first order of business, Victoria told Adam he's lucky she didn't fire him. She couldn't fire him. With only six months on the job, Adam "knows too much" about the company and thus must be kept on. He was ordered off the Newman Ponderosa, however.

You don't need me telling you how dumb-ass lame this is, so let's see if we can envision how PI Paul Williams discovered that Victor is "on his way to Mexico." That Paul is clueless goes without saying. With the help of hunkmonkey J.T. Hellstrom, Paul located the driver of the bus Victor had taken to Mexico. Bus depot surveillance video was sketchy, but Paul was almost certain the man seen was Victor. The video shot a couple of days ago, Victor is nevertheless "on his way" to Mexico.

So, while we wait to find out how it came to be that Walter Palin is in Mexico too, at the same bar/canteen as Victor, you know, the one with the nosy little girl who Victor says looks like his daughter, you might be in need of something that will really keep you on the edge of your seat for let's say, the end of the year! Something like - the Katherine Chancellor/Jill Abbott redux.
