Oh my god, it's happened again! Insanity is running
rampant. The question - as to how Phyllis Newman
came to own a penthouse suite, why she and her
dysfunctional husband wouldn't live in it preferring
instead a remodeled tack room - aside, the not
questioning how Amber Moore could afford the rent
when at the time of move-in Amber had just taken a
low-paying job as a receptionist, now Phyllis is
evicting her?
It's true. Amber will be put on notice tomorrow when
Phyllis gives her 72-hours to vacate.
We know Genoa City is different than most places,
but even here don't they have laws protecting
renters from predatory landlords? On a
month-to-month lease, shouldn't Amber have at least
30-days to vacate? Shouldn't Phyllis' notice be in
writing? Think it will be? Think Amber will haul
Phyllis' ass into court?
As for today, Devon Hamilton told Neil Winters that
the DNA test proves Cane Ashby is the father of
Chloe Mitchell's baby. Never mind that the test
result actually said Cane couldn't be excluded, and
that left some doubt, it must mean Cane is for sure
the daddy. Like she's done before, but not at the
scorned woman's father's place of business, Chloe
went to the Indigo where she told Devon who told
Neil and then had the audacity to go to Cane's home
where he scolded Cane for knocking Chloe up, and
said he knew all along that Cane is a slug. And yes,
Cane takes crap like that from an ex-hoodlum.
And no matter that Cane has done her wrong, Lily
still loves Cane. Loves him so much she wants him to
marry Chloe for the baby's sake! Not that Chloe
knows yet that Cane is being pressed to do the right
thing, spotting attorney Michael Baldwin at the
Indigo, Chloe asked if he handles paternity cases.
Do kangaroos crap in the outback? Of course Michael
handles paternity cases. He admitted to handling all
sorts of cases. Isn't that what all-purpose lawyers
do? It would have been nice though had Chloe called
his office to make an appointment. Office? Michael
has an office? Would that be the office where Paul
Williams rents the broom closet? The office where
Christine 'Bug" Blair is said to still be partnering
with Michael?
In a related matter, it wasn't explained how he
found out, but Michael has learned that his father
was once a math professor at a California college.
Problem is, Lowell Baldwin was fired. Can you guess
why? Give up?
He had sex with one of his students! Good lord,
Lowell should meet Professor Gerbil. He'd learn that
in Genoa City you cannot be fired for having sex
with your students.
How ironic it is that Lowell wound up in California?
Could he be he's still there? Has Lowell heard of
the wedding this Friday in Malibu? Will he just
happen to be strolling on the beach when Kevin
Fisher and Jana Hawkes tie the knot?
