Why do these Newman kids keep blaming themselves?
How many times can they slip the knife into Victor's
back and then wonder why daddy hates them? What will
it take before the media catches on that whenever
these freaks call a press conference they won't have
much to say and that questions won't be allowed?
Adam did take one or two before the conference was
shut down, however. He said his six month employment
qualifies him to run the empire mostly because he
has a degree from Harvard to which half-brother
Nick's three-week night school degree from GCU
cannot hold a candle. Moreover, half-sister Victoria
doesn't have a degree at all. Not that Nick and
Victoria still work at NE, some members of the media
didn't seem to know this.
The most important part of the PC was the
announcement of Adam's name change. Don't call him
Adam Wilson anymore. He's now Victor Adam Newman!
It's a wonder that wasn't breaking news. MSNBC could
have run the story 24/7. Had it happened Friday, the
name change would have bumped the John Edwards' love
child story off the media map.
Sadly, we know this isn't the end of the story. In
the coming daze Nikki and Paul will put themselves
"in danger" when they go in search of the great man.
Unfortunately they won't be kidnapped by Mexican
jumping beans.
Speaking of Mexico, isn't it strange that a local
woman would let her young daughter cozy up to a
gringo? Wasn't it weird that this child of six was
allowed to purchase Victor's medication? Drug laws
in Mexico aren't as strict as those in the USA, but
a pharmacy would give a child medication? This act
wouldn't have been designed to make Mexicans look
stupid - would it?
In other events today, I'm confused about the DNA
test result being delivered to the home of one Cane
Ashby. Was the envelope addressed to Lily Winters?
Wasn't it Cane who arranged the at-home test? Didn't
he pay extra for "rush" delivery? Wasn't it Cane's
spit that was taken? Wasn't it Chloe Mitchell's
blood withdrawn? So why was Lily's name on the
envelope? Why would the delivery guy be satisfied
that Neil Winters being Lily's father authorized
Neil to sign for the envelope?
I understand that the God Have Mercy Medical Center
is the strangest goddamn hospital on the planet, but
do doctors really give their patients soup? Could
the doctor tell that Chloe was undernourished and
what good would soup be for a woman "spotting"?
Didn't the nurse say that spotting is normal and
that there was nothing for Chloe to worry about?
Once Chloe had demanded the doctor do something to
save the very valuable Chancellor baby, wouldn't he
have kicked her ass down a flight of stairs? Didn't
the doctor say too there's nothing wrong with Chloe?
Didn't she then run back to Cane's house? So why the
soup? And will Cane and Lily ever think it might be
time to install a security gate to keep Chloe from
coming by whenever she wants?
Then again, this is what happens when you go to
check on the woman you keep calling "crazy" because
you know what it's like to lose a baby. Oh, Chloe.
Lily loves you so. You're probably carrying her
man's baby. You will tell her that she'd love
nothing more than for you to lose the baby. Lily
will stomp her little feet and tell you to stay away
from her and Cane, but she doesn't mean it. She will
gladly accept that you've come directly from the
hospital to Cane's home to hassle her and the man of
the house again, then stomping
her feet will later tell Cane that she knew he wasn't
"conscious" when he had sex with Chloe. If he wasn't
conscious, Cane must have been unconscious when he
was putting the pork to Chloe. We've heard of being
drunk while having sex, but unconscious? That's a
new one even by Genoa City standards.
